D’Angelo announces 2018 headline London show

D’Angelo has announced a one-off 2018 UK show, returning to London’s Eventim Apollo for the first time in two years.

Set to hit the venue on 6th March, the show is promised to be a one-night-only exclusive set, with Omar providing support duties.

Tickets go onsale this coming Friday (20th October) with a presale on Wednesday (18th October). Hit the link below for more info:

Disciples have announced details of their debut headline show, alongside releasing the video for their latest single, Jealousy.

Featuring all three Disciples member (Nathan Duvall, Luke Mac and Gavin Kool), the clip follows each of their scenarios as they obsess over their elusive female companion and her behaviour. Meanwhile, they’re set to open 2018 in a big way by taking over Camden’s KOKO on 22nd Feburary.

Mabel releases ‘Ivy To Roses’ mixtape; announces Kentish Town Forum show

Mabel has shared her debut mixtape Ivy To Roses following the recent reveal of the project’s latest track Begging.

Released earlier today, the 9-song project also features this summer’s breakout Finders Keepers which saw her collaborate with Kojo Funds, and playlisted across the likes of Radio 1, Capital and 1Xtra

Mabel recently spoke about the story behind the collection, saying “Ivy to Roses is another piece of the puzzle. It’s collection of songs that I love and want the world to hear right now. This is only the beginning of my journey but I want people to feel part of the evolution of my music, which is why I’m putting another project out now.”

Alongside the release, Mabel has also shared details of her first headline show of 2018, hitting London’s Kentish Town Forum on 25th April. Tickets go onsale this coming Monday, 16th October; meanwhile you can stream Ivy to Roses in its entirety below:

Lifted as the third single from last year’s Darkness and Light, the clip sees John play a hotel’s ’employee of the month’ who, working a shift during a Black Lives Matter protest, attempts to create unity in a divided United States.

Jessie Reyez has been on our radar for a while now. Since launching herself into the limelight with Figures earlier this year, plus a guest-star on Calvin Harris’ recent groove-led project, the young Canadian has started to build up a solid following, from both the pop sphere alongside the more coveted of industry tastemakers.

It makes absolute sense then that her new single Phone Calls, which we’re bringing you today, received its world premiere jointly by both Annie Mac and Mistajam as their recent Hottest Record/Jam Hot cuts on their respective shows.

Speaking to Annie about the track last night, Jessie said the ethos of Phone Calls surrounds “respecting people that were down with me from the beginning. People that didn’t really have anything to gain or people that just had faith to have faith. People that were riders just to be riders.”
