Watch: Second ‘Jurassic World’ trailer surfaces

The second trailer for the anticipated movie sequel Jurassic World has appeared, following its premiere during last night’s Super Bowl.

The second trailer, which follows on from November’s initial teaser, allowed fans the first glimpse at the Indominus Rex, the genetically-modified dinosaur created at the theme park (the initial trailer only showed the shadow of the monster).

Closely resembling the Tyrannosaurus Rex, which ruled the waves in the initial Jurassic Park trilogy, the new monster was, according to the Jurassic World News fansite, “created by genetic engineers at the Hammond Creation Lab using genes from a variety of dinosaurs, including Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops, and Gigantosaurus. Its roar rivals the sound of a 747 jet engine taking off, and the creature is able to reach speeds of up to 30 mph while running in its enclosure.”
