Back in August, Julio Bashmore collaborated with J’Danna on the impressive Simple Love; today, the two reveal their latest teamwork-effort with Rhythm Of Auld.
There seems to be a twang of early 90’s funkified-house in this one; simple in its approach, and more stripped-back than its predecessor. In fact, there’s little in way of comparisons between Rhythm Of Auld, and Bashmore’s Jessie Ware-collab Peppermint, potentially showing how diverse he is as a house producer. There’s a definite late-night-lounge vibe to Rhythm Of Auld, akin to something we’d more like to hear on one of those Hed Kandi: Beach House compilations from years back. In that sense, it’s a win from us.
