Last month marked the 20th anniversary of Brandy’s huge debut single I Wanna Be Down – yep, it really was twenty years ago (feeling old yet?!).
Well, at this week’s BET Hip Hop Awards, Brandy surprised the audience and reunited all those involved in the remix, released one year later in 1995. Featuring Queen Latifah, MC Lyte and Yo-Yo, the ‘hip-hop’ remix became a staple as one of the most iconic remixes of that era, a time which many still stipulate as the golden-age of modern-day R&B.
