Marika Hackman has unveiled Drown, the lead track to be lifted from her upcoming debut album, We Slept At Last.
The subtle mid-tempo folk-rock ballad is a sheer sign of beauty, continuing the themes set from her previous releases, particularly that from her Deaf Heat EP earlier in the spring.
We Slept At Last, set to land in early-2015, features production from Hackman’s long-term collaborator Charlie Andrew (Alt-J); based on Drown, the new collection is something we’re intrigued to hear.
Stream Drown below – the track drops on 8th December, whilst We Slept At Last is scheduled for release on 15th Feb 2015.
