Delivering one of the boldest (and brashest) pop/R&B-crossover bangers in years, ‘Ruin My Life’ marks Zara’s first solo release since her debut international album ‘So Good’ (subsequently since becoming the second most-streamed album by a female artist ever on Spotify).

The Cure have announced their first 2019 UK show, confirming the band will top the bill at next year’s Glasgow Summer Sessions.
Set to take place on Friday 16 August 2019 at Bellahouston Park, the gig will be The Cure’s first show in Scotland in 27 years, and will also feature Mogwai, fellow Scots The Twilight Sad and Welsh alt-rock band The Joy Formidable.
Now in its sixth year, Glasgow Summer Sessions has become a fixture of Scotland’s festival scene, attracting tens of thousands of fans and bringing world-class artists to the city such as Kendrick Lamar, Kings of Leon, N.E.R.D, Eminem, The Killers, Noel Gallagher and loads more. The Cure will grace Bellahouston on 16th August.
Last month, the band confirmed they would be performing at around 20 festivals in 2019 to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Earlier this year, frontman Robert Smith spoke with 6 Music’s Matt Everitt on the prospects of returning to Glastonbury, saying “Yeah, maybe. We haven’t had a happy history with Glastonbury over the years. Although we’ve headlined three times, we’ve never been on the best of terms. I don’t know if they forgive and forget. There are enough other festivals for us to play.”

After scrapping her Instagram account last week, it seems Ellie Goulding has finally dropped a hint about her long-awaited new single, ‘Close To Me’.
Sharing a new image of three animated tattoos on her profile earlier today (including one of Ellie’s own triangular imprint on her wrist), a little detective work shows the other two belonging to Diplo and Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee.
Update: Ellie has now confirmed the song will arrive on Wednesday 24th October, and will be premiered on BBC Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record. Check the teaser below:

Following the excitement of making it onto the BBC Music Sound Of 2018 longlist earlier in year, Sam Fender has returned with his latest single, ‘That Sound’.
Premiered as Phil Taggart’s latest ‘Hottest Record’ on BBC Radio 1, the track follows a solid year of self-releases for the 22-year-old, including previous singles ‘Dead Boys’, ‘Leave Fast’ and the Bramwell Bronte-produced, ‘Friday Fighting’. ‘The Sound’ also leads the charge for Fender’s all-new EP, scheduled to land on 20th November.

Fleetwood Mac have announced their 2019 European tour, with three shows in London, Dublin and Berlin.
Featuring the newly announced line-up of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie, alongside newcomers Mike Campbell and Neil Finn, the iconic band will hit London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday 16th June, with Dublin and Berlin taking place 3- and 10-days prior.
An announcement of this kind would usually tee up to rumours of the band finally headlining Glastonbury, however earlier this month it was reported Emily Eavis had confirmed the group had not been booked for next year. HOWEVER, whilst ruling out a headline spot, a special appearance on the Legends’ Slot could instead be on the cards.
There will be a new area in the SE Corner to help ease some of the overcrowding, also planning improvements to The Park, Arcadia and Silver Hayes areas.

Fleetwood Mac was founded by Peter Green in 1967 and was named after Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. After Peter Green left in 1969, Fleetwood and McVie remained as original members, and the band has since featured a varying cast – most notably, Christine McVie joined the band in 1970, with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joining in 1974.

Emerging Scottish collective LOVE SICK have shared their new song ‘Medusa’.
Lifted off the duo’s forthcoming ‘No Sleep’ EP, the brooding track follows on from the Michael Jackson-inspired ‘Fever‘ which dropped last month.
“The song came about after Julie had been reading about the Greek mythological story of Medusa” says LOVE SICK’s Shaun – “Medusa was essentially an unfortunate cursed victim of circumstance. We became obsessed with her story and wanted to re-imagine it in a modern context – determination against all odds and remaining positive even if life isn’t going the way you planned.”

Florence and The Machine are the final headliners for 2019’s Rock Werchter, organisers have confirmed.
Set to perform on Saturday 29th June 2019, Florence and co will join previously-revealed headliners Muse, P!nk, The Cure and Mumford and Sons across the 4-day event in Belgium.
Tickets go onsale this coming Friday, 26th October; more names will of course be added over the coming months. Rock Werchter will run from 27-30th June 2019.
The House & Garage Orchestra have announced their first 2019 headline show following multiple sold-out dates as part of this year’s tour.
Set to hit London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on June 1st, the announcement comes ahead of next month’s kick-off of their current tour, which will see them play eight dates across the UK culminating with a sold-out show at Camden’s KOKO.
The tour will see the orchestra cover classic garage and house anthems from the 90s/2000s, and will feature guests including Kele Le Roc, MC Neat, Shola Ama, BB Diamond and more.
