Arctic Monkeys perform ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ on Letterman

Arctic Monkeys took their promotional trail to US TV program The Late Show With David Letterman last night, performing tracks from their acclaimed latest studio LP AM.

Catch their brilliant performance of Do I Wanna Know? below; US fans will have the opportunity to see the band over the next fortnight as the British group embark on a multi-city tour, starting this Thursday.

New music: Banks – ‘Brain’

Banks has teamed up with US electro producer Shlohmo for the new dark and mysterious track Brain.

Whilst it’s yet to be unconfirmed as to whether the track will appear on any kind of forthcoming album (Brain is absent from Banks’ London and Fall Over EPs), the track in itself is worthy of much applause, and confidently cements why critics are falling over for this intriguing and entirely fresh new artist.

Calvin Harris teases possible Prince collaboration

Calvin Harris has set rumours in a spin with the possibility of a collaboration with iconic singer/songwriter/all-round-entertainer, Prince.

Instagramming a picture of a guitar in the earlier hours this morning, closer inspection reveals that the instrument is owned by the pint-sized musician. No further word has been confirmed from either camp yet, but if indeed this collaboration turns out to be true, it’s an exciting prospect for both artists.

Prince has recently announced a string of one-off intimate London gigs for next month, with an official press conference set to confirm all dates next Tuesday (2nd February).

Outkast confirmed for Bestival

Outkast are to headline this year’s Bestival, organisers have confirmed.

The news follows the day after organisers also confirmed the theme for the September 2014 extravaganza, as ‘desert island disco’.

The rest of the line-up is set to be announced in due course, however tickets are now on sale from Ticketline.

Organisers of the annual Wireless Festival have unveiled the line-up of this year’s event and it’s looking likely to be the biggest year yet, with Kanye West, Drake and Bruno Mars all confirmed as headliners this summer. Joining them on the bill, are Ellie Goulding, Salt N’ Pepa, Basement Jaxx, Rudimental and more.

The three-day event, which last year saw headline performances from Justin Timberlake and Jay Z, is set for a new home at London’s Finsbury Park, alongside the addition of a new Birmingham venue at Perry Park.

Disclosure and Lorde confirmed for BRIT Awards performances

Organisers of next month’s BRIT Awards are pulling out all the punches in a bid to make sure the 2014 event will be the biggest ever, none more than confirmation that Disclosure and Lorde have now been added to the already-stellar line-up of performances.

The confirmation of Lorde and Disclosure’s surprise collaboration was teased earlier today via the official BRIT Awards Twitter account, but now organisers have confirmed the artists’ appearance for the 19th February ceremony.

The addition of Disclosure and Lorde mean they will join the bill that already included Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Arctic Monkeys, Ellie Goulding, Bastille and Rudimental.

Pitbull remixes Katy Perry’s ‘Dark Horse’

Pitbull has remixed Katy Perry and Juicy J’s new collaboration Dark Horse.

The track, the latest release off Perry’s phenomenally-successful Prism LP, hears Pitbull replacing Juicy J with some seriously-strong bars.
