Zara Larsson returned to Radio 1’s Live Lounge earlier today (14th November), performing her latest single ‘Ruin My Life’.
Entering the studio as part of the broadcaster’s November-packed Live Lounge Month, the Swedish singer also shared her impeccable cover of Khalid and Normani’s huge hit ‘Love Lies’.

Alessia Cara has given us a further glimpse of her new direction, sharing ‘Not Today’ ahead of the release of her upcoming second album ‘The Pains of Growing’ later this month.
Premiered as Zane Lowe’s recent Beats 1 World Record, the self-described ‘heartbreak anthem’ follows on from last month’s ‘Trust My Lonely’ – “‘Not Today’ was one of the last songs I actually wrote for the record” she tells Lowe, “Something happened to me that made me write a lot of new songs,” she said. “I went through the end of a relationship, and just really, really bad terms. So the song to me was like that grieving period in the middle of healing, I guess, or the moment or the period of time before you actually get to the healing stage.”
‘The Pains of Growing’, which lands on 30th November, comes three years on from her debut record ‘Know It All’. Watch the lyric video for ‘Not Today’, below:

Following a steady stream of remixes from the likes of Maceo Plex and DJ Tennis, Maribou State have shared another new edit of their North Downs-featuring ‘Kingdom’, this time courtesy of British DJ/producer, Adesse Versions.
Having previously released on labels such as Numbers, Delusions Of Grandeur and Ostgut Ton (under his own name), the producer (aka Kevin Gorman) delivers a subtle re-work, drawing out the vocals of North Downs’ Jack Sibley across a lean reconstruction of the original’s percussive, hand-clapped rhythms. “The original has fantastic drums, melodies and vocals, but with room for me to give it a little more energy” he explains. “This was one of the most enjoyable remixes I’ve worked on for a long time”.
The original version of the songs was just one of a handful of vibe-centric cuts to appear on Maribou State’s acclaimed sophomore album ‘Kingdoms of Colour’, which received huge support from the likes of Annie Mac, Nick Grimshaw, Gilles Peterson, Tom Ravenscroft, Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, Nemone and many more following its release in September.

The Chemical Brothers have followed up September’s ‘Free Yourself’ with the song’s official video, which you can watch below.
Premiered across the duo’s live sets throughout the summer, ‘Free Yourself’ marks the first piece of new music from The Chemicals since 2015’s ‘Born In The Echoes’, which featured appearances from Q-Tip, Ali Love and Beck.
Eight months in the making, the clip for ‘Free Yourself’ uses cutting-edge visual effects and motion capture technology to tell a near-future story of factory robots freeing themselves.
The video was directed by Dom&Nic, the creative duo who have worked with The Chemical Brothers over a period of twenty two years and have worked on videos including Hey Boy Hey Girl, Block Rockin’ Beats, Setting Sun and the award winning video Wide Open from the band’s #1 2015 album Born In The Echoes.
Of working on ‘Free Yourself’, the Chemicals’ long-term collaborative duo Dom&Nic said: “Why would artificial intelligence behave any different to humans discovering music and dance for the first time?We’ve all seen humans dancing brilliantly like robots, we’ve also seen robots dancing brilliantly like robots but you’ve never seen robots dancing badly like humans. That’s new… The chemical brothers music allows people to get out of their box at a gig or listening to the record – it’s a moment of frenzied abandonment to the music. We wanted to capture that feeling in the idea of an oppressed robot workforce suddenly abandoning themselves to music and fun. It’s robots having fun, robots being silly and robots raving! It’s a black comedy and an observation or conversation about the possible future relationship between robots, artificial intelligence and humans. Maybe we don’t have anything to be scared of, why do we think the worst about AI and humanity?”
Ellie Goulding has shared her new video for ‘Close To Me’.
Released in its audio form last month, the track, which features Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee alongside Diplo, marks the first chapter of Goulding’s upcoming (and as-yet-untitled) new album, the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Delirium’. The romantic visual itself was shot on location in Budapest, Hungary.

Robyn has confirmed details of her anticipated ‘Honey’ 2019 tour, following the release of her new album of the same name.
Kicking off in Sweden and Norway in February, the singer will then travel to the US, with stints across the country (which will include the previously-announced appearance at NYC’s Madison Square Gardens). Robyn will then return to Europe in April, to perform shows in Germany, France and The Netherlands. She will also hit the UK for a one-off date at London’s Alexandra Palace on 12th April. **UPDATE: Following overwhelming demand, a second London show has now been added**

Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell Williams have reunited for the first time since last year’s ‘Don’t Do It’ with the Mike WiLL Made-It produced ‘The Mantra’.

The Spice Girls have added a huge show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium to their summer 2019 tour, following the record-breaking sell-out of their other UK dates over the weekend.
Tickets for the new show, which will take place on Monday 27 May 2019, are available now. As with the other dates, the Cardiff show will see the band joined by Jess Glynne on support.
Last week Geri, Emma, Mel B and Mel C ended speculation by have confirming six UK dates next June in Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol and London. After tickets went on-sale, the girls then expanded the tour with a further five performances – the announcement of the Cardiff show now brings the total number of dates to 12 so far.
