Last week, Miami-raised collective City Girls dropped their new album ‘Girl Code’. Though still awaiting member JT’s release from jail next month (recently brought forward from her initial March 2020 sentence-end), that didn’t stop the duo sharing a surprise gem on the record, hooking up with Cardi B for a raunchy remix of ‘Twerk’.

Rock Werchter have expanded their 2019 lineup following last month’s announcement of headliners P!nk, The Cure and Florence & The Machine.
Set to return to Belgium’s Festivalpark on the 27-30th June weekend, the annual four-day festival will now also see appearances from Vance Joy, Kylie Minogue, Years & Years and Mumford & Sons. As previously reported, Muse will close Rock Werchter on its final day.
Kylie’s appointment is probably the most interesting out of today’s additions – she will perform at the festival on Saturday 29th June, which tees up nicely for her heavily-rumoured appearance as Glastonbury’s Sunday Afternoon ‘Legend’ the following day. Her next scheduled live show will be ‘just down the road’ (kinda) at Eden Project on 2nd July, so the timings do all look pretty clear.
Back in September, sources at The Sun reportedly confirmed Minogue’s appearance, though we are still awaiting for final clarity from either Kylie or Glastonbury itself.

It’s only been a few weeks since Normani graced us with a handful of Calvin Harris-produced songs, but the former Fifth Harmony member shows no signs of slowing, this time teaming up with 6LACK for the latest offering from her upcoming studio debut record.
Titled ‘Waves’, the sultry jam received its premiere by Zane Lowe on the broadcaster’s Beats 1 show – discussing the song (and her partnership with 6LACK), Normani opened up, saying “I admire [him] as an artist, and he’s just amazing… He’s an amazing lyricist, and I feel like he took the record to a whole other level. I already love the record as is, but he totally exceeded any expectation I even had, which was pretty high, because I admire him as an artist.”

Stormzy has been announced as the first headliner for next year’s Glastonbury Festival, following previous clues by the MC himself earlier in the summer.
Revealed moments ago via a pre-printed copy of the festival’s own ‘Glastonbury Free Press’ (which was placed in the shop window of Pilton’s Oxfam), the Croydon artist’s appointment to the Pyramid Stage will mark a strong global platform for grime in its entirety, and comes ahead of Stormzy’s anticipated second studio album, expected early-2019.
Back in August, Stormzy hinted his Glastonbury appearance by sharing Noel Gallagher’s infamous 2008 quote about Jay Z’s headline appearance that year – “I’m not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It’s wrong.” he said, prior to Jay winning acclaim for his striking set.

After dropping a brief teaser earlier in the week, Zayn Malik and Nicki Minaj have shared their surprise new collaboration ‘No Candle No Light’.
Released moments ago, it’s yet to be confirmed whether the track, which follows last month’s ‘Fingers‘, will join its predecessor on Zayn’s upcoming second studio album. Regardless though, the Sawyr-produced cut may be one of Malik’s strongest offerings since ‘Like I Would’.

Following a previous announcement of their upcoming London return in 2019, organisers of Glastonbury’s infamous Arcadia have now confirmed that their anticipated ‘Metamorphosis’ show will hit the capital across the 4/5th May Bank Holiday Weekend.
Revealing the news on Twitter moments ago, the supporting text alongside the announcement is also likely to put some confusion into the heads of Glastonbury fans, with organisers teasing that the London appearance will mark the “ONLY UK SPIDER AND METAMORPHOSIS SHOW IN 2019”.
Earlier in the year, Glastonbury curator Emily Eavis teased an all-new Arcadia show for when Glastonbury returns next June. We had always assumed that the spider would remain a constant at Worthy Farm, so it’ll be interesting to see what appears in its place!

John Lewis have revealed their anticipated 2018 Christmas TV campaign, and true to the rumours earlier this month, features a starring role from Elton John.
Revealed 24 hours prior to the onsale date for tickets to the star’s upcoming UK shows, the campaign sees Elton going backwards through memories of his life, concluding on Christmas Day as a youngster when he received his first piano. The song? Well it’s his classic ‘Your Song’, of course.
