Audio: Ray BLK – ‘Chill Out’ (ft. SG Lewis)

Following her breathtaking performance of My Hood at last month’s Rated Awards (which you can check out here), Ray BLK has hooked up with SG Lewis for Chill Out, a new track lifted off her upcoming self-released Durt project.

Grab a listen below.

Audio: RAYE – ‘I, U, Us’ (Oceaán Remix)

Whether it’s the Stormzy-featuring Ambition, or the track’s former Distraction, it’s safe to say that RAYE’s delivered some absolutely sick music within the year she’s made her entrance onto the scene. However, it her recent single I, U, Us which has appeared most radio-friendly, and today Brixtonite Oceaan has dropped his crazy new edit of the aforementioned, morphing the slick Charli XCX-penned R&B joint into fucked-up futuretronic territories.

Daft Punk for ‘Alive 2017’ World Tour?

0

A mysterious new website has prompted speculation that Daft Punk will be returning to the road in 2017.

Alive 2017, which was registered just under a fortnight back, has appeared online and follows various fan theories that the French duo will continue their decade-long touring stints (the Robots have two live LPs based on previous tours – Alive 1997 and Alive 2007).

In an almost-annual tradition, speculation also continues that Daft Punk will also be headlining Glastonbury next year, 20 years since their initial 1997 Worthy Farm debut.

Additionally, zooming in on the website (which seemingly just displays ‘ALIVE’) shows a countdown clock to 27th October, potentially teasing a full tour announcement.

In related Daft Punk news, the duo recently collaborated with The Weeknd to produce the title-track (and lead single) from his forthcoming Starboy LP; grab a listen here.

Sampha to headline Jazz Cafe at Annie Mac’s latest ‘AMP Collected’ series

Following the success of her AMP All Day Raves (which concluded at London’s Tobacco Dock over the weekend), Annie Mac has announced the latest installment of her AMP Collected series.

The events, which have previously seen Annie showcase the likes of Louis Mattrs, Jordan Rakei and Kojey Radical (among others), have historically supported the best in emerging talent, and the latest set of shows seem to push this ideology further, enlisting some groundbreaking artists at a groundbreaking venue.

Hitting London’s Jazz Cafe for the first time (!!), AMP Collected will see Francis & The Lights and Sampha take headline slots, with SKOTT, Kelsey Lu and Alyss also among the lineup.

Tickets for the shows go onsale this coming Friday (7th October); check the full schedule below:

Announced moments ago, the group’s appearance at BST will mark five years since the annual event kicked off at London’s Hyde Park – since then, BST has become a somewhat staple in the UK festival calendar, with 2016’s event seeing the likes of Take That, Florence and The Machine and Stevie Wonder hit the stage.

Tickets for the July 1st show go onsale this coming Friday (7th October) direct from Ticketmaster – hit the link below for more info, and check out Green Day’s promo vid underneath:

Audio: Tinie Tempah – ‘Bounce’ (prod. by Shift K3Y)

With just three months to go until the release of his anticipated third studio album Youth, Tinie Tempah has shared some more new music, throwing some ridiculous flows with Bounce.

Though unconfirmed to appear on the new project at this point, Bounce marks a solid return to form for the MC, whilst likely to impress the naysayers who may have deemed Tinie as erring too far into the pop sphere of late.

Preview: Flume – ‘Say It’ (ft Tove Lo) (Clean Bandit remix)

0

A 2-minute preview of Clean Bandit’s surprise remix of Flume and Tove Lo’s Say It has hit the web following last week’s reveal of the track’s official video.

Appearing one month prior to the UK stint of Flume’s ‘Skin’ World Tour, Clean Bandit’s edit hears the mid-tempo ballad flip with a sun-ledden tropical undertone – the UK group do away with their signature strings, instead delivering something that sounds like it’ll fit as much on the dancefloors as it would in your headphones. Grab a listen to the 2-minute preview, here.

Audio: Dua Lipa – ‘Blow Your Mind’ (Alex Metric Remix)

Admittedly we were latecomers when we first descended toward Alex Metric; ultimately one of the most in-demand producers of the last decade, it was Metric’s Charli XCX-collab End of the World which fully brought us into his sphere, and over the years since, you’d be hard-pressed to find any way of a dud within his illustrious discography.

Today however, things go even further into Alex’s ‘realm of brilliance’ as he flips Dua Lipa’s Blow Your Mind (Mwah) into 90s house-territories. There’s strong elements of piano-house in there, underpinned by some old-school UKG drops too (think more Mark Ryder than your more commercial Sweet Female Attitude kinda stuff).

Bump this one loud below; this one’s definitely for the playlisters out there too!

Video: Solange – ‘Don’t Touch My Hair’ / ‘Cranes in the Sky’

On Friday, Solange finally delivered her long-awaited studio album A Seat At The Table, a 21-track project four years in the making that has quickly won acclaim the world over.

Today, the younger of the Knowles sisters has now shared the first two videos from the record, Cranes In The Sky and Don’t Touch My Hair, the latter which cameos Sampha (who incidentally also co-produced the track).
