Glastonbury 2017: Kings of Leon express desire to play

It’s been eight years since Kings of Leon headlined Glastonbury, and now, following the recent release of their new LP Walls, the US band have expressed their desire to hit up Worthy Farm once again next year.

After being informed that 2017 will be the last year before Glastonbury takes a 12-month break, the group told BBC News that “we’ll have to get on it in 2017. I’ll have to text Mr Eavis.”

Rumours on 2017’s Glastonbury line-up are already starting to boil; most-recently Phil Collins announced a June tour which coincided nicely with next summer’s trip to Worthy Farm. Other rumours on the cards include Daft Punk, Radiohead and Diana Ross.

Skream’s been banging You Know, Right across his various festival sets over the summer, but now the studio edit has been revealed and it’s just as solid as we remember.

HONNE’s Good Together, one of the standouts from their Warm On A Cold Night LP, has received a smooth rework courtesy of Stockholm-based duo Jarami. Delivering some uplifting mid-tempo electronica at its finest, Jarami throw across a groove akin to the likes of Tom Misch – headnodding and soulful yet with a post-3am taste for the late-night crews.

Glastonbury 2017: Phil Collins rumoured for ‘Legends’ slot

Phil Collins has announced his first set of live shows in over a decade, with the dates ‘nicely coinciding’ with 2017’s Glastonbury Festival.

Long-since rumoured to make a Glastonbury appearance over the years, the former Genesis-frontman initially went into retirement back in 2011, however due to demand from fans, he seems to have resurrected his career for at least 10 date next summer.

Featuring five shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall (4-9th June 2017), Collins will then perform four more dates across Germany and France; we’d also hedge our bets on a Sunday afternoon ‘legends slot’ appearance at Glastonbury 2017 too!

Nile Rodgers & Chic to play Autism Rocks London Christmas show

Nile Rodgers and Chic have announced their return to the London stage later this year, as they look to close 2016 with a Christmas Autism Rocks show in December.

Set to hit Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo on 23rd December, the set follows on from June’s Autism Rocks Prince Tribute, a month which also saw Nile bring his FOLD Festival to the UK for the first time.

Tickets go onsale this coming Wednesday (19th October) at 10am with all proceeds going to Autism Rocks. Head over to Ticketmaster for more info:

Norwegian superproducer Lido hit up UK shores earlier this month to perform a four-song mini-set exclusively at the BBC’s iconic Maida Vale Studios.

Having already showcased his work by collaborating with the likes of Halsey, Chance The Rapper and BANKS, Lido lit the studio with three songs from his excellent Everything LP, plus a throwback to 2014 with his breakout jam Money.
