London Grammar shared a special New Year treat for fans, announcing their return to the scene with Rooting For You.
Revealed at the stroke of midnight, the track marks what’s likely to be the first preview from their anticipated second studio record, the follow-up to their impeccable 2013 debut If You Wait. Recently, the trio also confirmed their return to the live circuit too, appearing at Helsinki’s Flow Festival later this summer – we’d expect some UK dates to follow shortly too.

After mysteriously teasing his return to the scene with new social artwork earlier in December, Ed Sheeran has kicked off 2017 by confirming new music is just around the corner.
Tweeting a short clip earlier today (which you can see below), Sheeran announced that “new music [will be] coming Friday” – whether that’s a single, a buzz track or even an entirely new project remains to be seen (Ed’s definitely the kind of artist who would drop a full surprise album in one go!), however it’s widely-known that he’s been putting the finishing touches to the follow-up to 2014’s hugely-successful X, which spawned two Grammy Awards for Thinking Out Loud.
In related news, it’s strongly rumoured Ed will headline this summer’s Glastonbury Festival, hitting the Pyramid Stage on Saturday 25th June. Full info here.

Skrillex has shared the entirety of his set from 2016’s Burning Man online, a one-hour mix which took place midway during the festival at the iconic Robot Heart area.
Shifting aside his usual dub/electronic focus, Skrillex opened on an ethereal ebb, before slowly entrancing fans with his love of house.

“This was a really special set because we had all of our friends with us. I brought a lot of first time burners out to the Playa this year. The whole Robot Heart crew took care of us all, and we got to see a lot of the art while I played. This year I collaborated with the team behind Embrace on the Space Whale project.
Hope you enjoy the mix, I mess up a few times but it doesn’t really matter because the vibe was so awesome and so real.
I want to thank Robot Heart and everyone at Burning Man. I especially want to thank all of the artists who put a whole year of work and funding into creating all of the magical art we get to enjoy on what’s probably the coolest canvas in the whole world aka the Playa.

A decade on from J Dilla’s passing has led to a plethora of unreleased music creeping out of the woodwork, and now over 30-minutes of unheard Dilla beats have hit the web, falling under the title Jay Dee’s Ma Dukes Collection.
It’s unknown whether this was a full project set for release or a hand-selected mix of beats (we’d presume the latter, with Dilla’s mother oft known as “Ma Dukes”), but regardless, these are some astonishing sonics to vibe out to.

Awful Records have found an absolute gem in Abra; essentially an artist who fully solidifies the imprint’s strive for being one of the most-important supporters of hip-hop, soul and R&B in recent years. Abra herself wll make her big-screen debut in next year’s Assassination Nation, however today she’s dropped the hypnotic Bounty, a gorgeous follow-up to November’s Pull Up.
