Aphex Twin will play his first UK show in five years next summer, with a confirmed headline set at London’s Field Day.

Set to take over the festival’s new indoor stage The Barn on Saturday 3rd June, the producer will play a two hour show, and will mark his first UK appearance since sharing his surprise Syro LP two years ago.

Describing Aphex’s appointment as an “incredible honour”, Field Day co-founder Tom Baker said “It’s truly amazing to have Aphex Twin headline Field Day, I’ve been listening to him since I was 16, he played and curated some of the first ever Eat Your Own Ears nights (the most memorable being a warehouse on Brick Lane that got closed down by the police!). It will be a phenomenal, mind-blowing, mesmerisingly fantastic two hours of absolute genius.”

**UPDATE: Flying Lotus has now also been added to the bill, ahead of the official lineup announcement**
