Watch Ed Sheeran cover Little Mix’s ‘Touch’ in the Live Lounge

Ed Sheeran made a triumphant return to Radio 1’s Live Lounge after a 2 year hiatus earlier today, dropping a selection of his previous hits alongside an on-point cover of Little Mix’s Touch.

With his third studio album Divide out in just over a fortnight’s time, the PR machine is rolling at full steam for Ed – his upcoming tour has already sold out, he’s hitting up the BRIT Awards tomorrow night, and he also returned to the Grammy Awards stage a couple of weeks back. Seems a Live Lounge appearance is just what’s needed to remind him of his UK roots.

J. Cole announces ‘4 Your Eyez Only’ UK Tour

J. Cole has announced a multi-date 2017 world tour in celebration of last year’s surprise album, 4 Your Eyez Only.

Set to grace the UK in October, Cole will play six shows covering key cities including Nottingham (12th October), Manchester (21st October) and London’s O2 Arena (15th October). He will close in Leeds on 22nd before jetting to Australia and New Zealand to conclude the full stint.

Tickets for the UK leg go onsale this coming Thursday (23rd February) with a limited presale tomorrow (Wednesday 22nd) at 10am – check the full details below:

After teasing snippets over the past month on his official Snapchat, Calvin Harris has now confirmed his new collaboration with Frank Ocean and Migos on Slide.

There’s no release date as yet, but the fact that there’s now official artwork points to an imminent announcement; Slide will also be Frank’s first piece of new music since last year’s Blond.

Glastonbury 2017: British Sea Power self-confirm?

British Sea Power have shared their new single Keep On Trying following the recent announcement of their new album Let The Dancers Inherit The Party.

Set for release on 31st March, the track received its first airplay on Shaun Keaveny’s 6Music show earlier today, alongside sharing a note which may have inadvertently led to an appearance on the bill at this summer’s Glastonbury.

Reading live on air, the letter said “[we] hope to see [Keaveny] at Glastonbury so we can buy you a tray of noodles” – check the full clip below.

In related Glastonbury news, all eyes are on both Glastonbury and Foo Fighters’ social accounts where it is hoped the Foos will finally reveal their headline slot later this evening. More as we hear it.

Boardmasters 2017: More names announced

30 new acts have been added to this summer’s Boardmaster’s line-up following the recent appointment of Two Door Cinema Club, Alt-J and Jamiroquai.

Notable additions include Gorgon City, Kurupt FM, Stormzy and Pete Tong, whilst Loyle Carner and Jagwar Ma will also make their Cornwall debut joining the previously-announced Becky Hill, Andy C and Jake Bugg.

V Festival 2017: Pete Tong and The Heritage Orchestra announced

Ahead of next week’s reveal of their 2017 first acts and headliners, V Festival organisers have surprise-announced an appearance from Pete Tong and The Heritage Orchestra on this summer’s line-up. Set to be joined by conductor Jules Buckley, the DJ and orchestra will appear on both August dates in Chelmsford and Staffordshire, as V returns to its two homes for the 22nd year.

Lovebox 2017: First wave line-up released

Chase and Status will join Frank Ocean as the second headline act for this summer’s Lovebox Festival, organisers have confirmed.

Revealing the first part of this year’s line-up earlier today, Chase and Status will hit up the Saturday night at London’s Victoria Park (Friday will be courtesy of Frank), whilst new names include the likes of Jamie XX, Solange, Sampha, Kaytranada, Kurupt FM and Ray BLK.

The initial line-up also features a huge amount of DJ sets too, from Jazzy Jeff and Jesse Rose to Dreem Teem (seriously!!!), Jazzie B and Horse Meat Disco.

Glastonbury 2017: Craig Charles self-confirms

Regular Glastonbury-staple Craig Charles has self-confirmed his return to Worthy Farm later this summer, bringing his acclaimed ‘Funk & Soul Club’ back for another year.

Annoucning the news on his BBC 6Music show earlier this evening, his appearance at Glastonbury 2017 follows last year’s double-set show, where he played for four hours at Shangri-La’s Hell Stage on the Friday, and Arcadia early-evening on the Sunday.

More as we hear it; Glastonbury Festival runs from 21-25th June in Somerset.
