The Weeknd unveils his set for his Starboy World Tour

The Weeknd’s clearly taken cues from the likes of Kanye West, Daft Punk and Drake by unveiling a huge electronic cross as the centre-piece for his Starboy World Tour.

Kicking off the shows in Stockholm last night, his centre structure lifted gracefully off the stage into the background, pulsating at various tones within each song (of which there were 21 featured in the mammoth setlist).

Catch a glimpse below; The Weeknd will make his way to this side of Europe to start the UK leg of shows on 5th March – tickets are still available right here with full tour dates underneath:

Glastonbury 2017: Is a Foo Fighters announcement imminent?

Rumours have been swirling for months now regarding Foo Fighters’ possible headline slot at this summer’s Glastonbury Festival, and it seems we may be getting even closer to an announcement.

Earlier today, the Foos updated their website to reveal the full listing of their previously-announced festival appearances (including Secret Solstice and Rockslide) with one glaring ommission. Scrolling down on the website appears a link to “Check in here” – open it and you’re greeted with a fake boarding pass for ‘Obelisk Airlines’. Not only is Obelisk’s logo a pyramid (hint hint hint), but an associated Twitter account has also appeared (@ObeliskAirlines), which follows just one account – @FooFighters.

Additionally, though now deleted, Glastonbury guide TheGlastoThingy managed to capture Obelisk’s only tweet, stating “18:00, Tuesday 21st February”. If any Foos/Glastonbury announcement happens, it’s likely to be then.

Earlier at this week’s NME Awards, Emily and Michael Eavis spoke of when the next Glastonbury announcement would like be, replying “Some time in March, and there might just be a little thing before”. Could that ‘little thing’ be confirmation of Foo Fighters? Check back here on Tuesday evening!

Leak reveals Lorde’s new album may be just around the corner

New Lorde music could be just around the corner after a leaked memo on the Republic Records’ website captured what looks like a March release date for her next single.

Yesterday (17th February), Jesse Walk (son of Republic boss Charlie Walk) tweeted excitement around the new release, whilst days prior an eager fansite spotted notes on the label’s page pointing to a 7th March unveiling of the confidential new project.

It’s been three years since Lorde’s Pure Heroine made a dent in pop-land, and since then she’s been spending time with the likes of Flume, Disclosure and more to work on their own projects; it’s likely some of these artists may be reciprocating their favours for the New Zealander’s second record.

MK fans have been clamouring for his remix of Rihanna’s Sex With Me ever since he started dropping the joint in his sets last year, and now today the full version can be heard in its entirety.

Lifted off Rihanna’s Sex With Me remix EP (which also features edits from John-Blake and Salva, among others), MK’s interpretation is as bouncy as we’ve come to expect from the US producer’s previous repertoire. Catch it in full below:

After being teased toward the end of last year, the first trailer for the full series of James Corden’s ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment is here, and it’s pretty exciting.

Featuring the likes of Alicia Keys, Will Smith, Ariana Grande and John Legend, the new series, exclusive to Apple Music, will feature 16 unique pairings on differing roadtrips. It won’t just be stuck to roads either, a teaser of Will Smith’s episode sees the actor join up with Corden on a helicopter ride hitting lines from the Fresh Prince theme.

Stormzy returned to Radio 1’s Live Lounge earlier today ahead of next week’s release of his debut album Gangs Signs and Prayer.

Alongside performing the project’s lead single Big For Your Boots, Man Like Stormz also chose Kanye West’s Ultralight Beam as his ‘Live Lounge Cover’, throwing a UK spin across the joint, and even propping Raleigh Ritchie (who features on the new album) in the process.
