Seven years to the day since what was to be a career-defining moment for both parties, Ed Sheeran and SBTV have hooked up once again for another visual, this time a new track off Ed’s upcoming record Divide.

Set for release this Friday (3rd March), Divide has already spawned Shape Of You, Castle On The Hill and How Would You Feel (Paean); now it’s the turn of Eraser.

Listen: Kanye West – ‘Bed: Yeezy Season 5’ (ft The Dream)

A ‘kind of new’ Kanye West track has emerged by Yeezy himself, well sort of anyway.

Titled Bed Yeezy Season 5 and featuring The-Dream, the song is essentially a 17-minute rework of J. Holiday’s Bed, and was initialy aired to soundtrack Kanye’s Yeezy Season 5 show in New York a couple of weeks back.

It may sound a little ‘TLOP-esque’, but that’s thanks to the production courtesy of DJDS who also worked on Pablo. Grab a listen below – the atmospheric build is actually quite wonderful:

Wilderness 2017 line-up revealed

Grace Jones, Two Door Cinema Club and Bonobo have all been confirmed to headline this summer’s Wilderness, following this morning’s reveal of the full line-up.

Set to return to Oxfordshire across the August 3-6th weekend, this year’s event will also see a multitude of Wilderness debuts, including Ray BLK, Michael Kiwanuka and Nightmares on Wax. The latter will also join the likes of Artwork and Jackmaster in ‘The Valley’ to deliver for the house-heads.

V Festival 2017: First names announced including headliners Pink & Jay Z

Pink and Jay Z have been announced as the two main-stage headliners for this summer’s V Festival, following the reveal of the first wave of names earlier today.

Other acts set to appear across the 19/20th August weekend include Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics (announced a fortnight back), Stormzy, Craig David, Rudimental and Ellie Goulding. Anne-Marie, Dizzee Rascal, Gorgon City and Sigma will also be making appearances.

Glastonbury 2017: Skepta self-confirms?

Skepta may have inadvertently let slip his intention to perform at June’s Glastonbury Festival following the recent announcement of his headline set at this summer’s Wireless.

During a pre-BRIT Awards interview with NME, Skepta was asked about his upcoming potential festival appearances, including “are we going to be seeing you at Glastonbury”. Looking coy with the response, the Tottenham MC replied “I don’t think anything’s been announced yet… you’ll see me, yeah you’ll see me, but we’ll just have to wait until they announce it because I can’t say”.

If indeed true, Skepta will join Wiley as the first two grime acts to self-confirm their return to Worthy Farm (Skepta played to packed crowds on the Pyramid Stage at 2016’s Glastonbury). He also joins Foo Fighters, Radiohead, London Grammar, Fatboy Slim, The Orb and 6Music’s Craig Charles on the slowly-expanding guestlist.

In the days of Spotify and Apple Music exclusives, it’s rare to find an album being shared in its entirety on Soundcloud, particularly one as anticipated by rising collective THEY. However two days ago, the LA-based duo dropped their debut Hyena project onto the platform (alongside others), and it’s a pretty spellbinding affair.

For those keeping their ears close to the ground, many may remember THEY’s Nü Religion EP from back in 2015; Hyena solidly expands on the tightness of that collection (alongside bringing along three tracks to this full-lengther). There’s future-focused R&B at its core with this one; from slow-burning Dante’s Creek to the urgent What You Want, it seems THEY have covered all bases with their debut.

LA-based Hoodboi cooks up a smooth future-focused jam with Denmark’s Soleima on Breathe, a song that flips between infectious and mellow whilst also likely to leave you wishing for more by the time the three-minute track quickly finalises.

Whilst futuretronica seems to be the ‘buzz sound’ at the moment, Soleima and Hoodboi have delivered something instantly refreshing whilst ultimately also supporting the genre it so well aptly fits.

North Londoner Bruno Major has dropped his emotionally-charged Just The Same, the latest in his tactic of sharing new music every month (the song was written on 2nd February, recorded the following day, and now three weeks later receives its official release).

Known to deliver “hushed, bass-heavy pop songs”, Just The Same brings you close into Major’s ethereal soundscape – it’s honest, raw, and above-all, a jarring head-nodder at that. Stream below:

Glastonbury 2017: Green Day and Ed Sheeran supposedly confirmed?

The BBC may have inadvertently let slip that Green Day and Ed Sheeran will perform at this summer’s Glastonbury Festvial.

Writing earlier this evening in an article dedicated to Foo Fighters‘ recent appointment as Saturday night headliners, BBC Entertainment closed off saying “[Foo Fighters] join the line-up alongside Radiohead, Ed Sheeran and Green Day.”

Neither Green Day nor Ed Sheeran have been announced by Glastonbury themselves, though the latter has been widely rumoured to headline the Pyramid Stage on Sunday 25th June.

So far, the only confirmed acts to date are Radiohead, Foo Fighters, London Grammar, Fatboy Slim, The Orb and 6Music’s Craig Charles.

More as we hear it.
