Riton reunites with Kah-Lo for the third time in less than a year for the infectious Money, the follow-up to December’s Betta Riddim’.

Enlisting extra vocals from afrobeat stars Mr Eazi & Davido, Riton speaks of the song, saying “this is one of the tracks I’m most proud to say I’ve been a part of. I’ve got to say a massive thanks for Kah-Lo’s immense knowledge and for introducing me to the masterminds Eazi and Davido – as soon as they jumped on it was really happening! I’m over the moon to have had the opportunity to collaborate with all these amazing people. I hope everyone has as much fun dancing to it as we did making it.”

Album stream: Ed Sheeran – ‘Divide’

After a year away from the spotlight, Ed Sheeran has finally released his anticipated third studio album Divide (or ÷), the follow-up to 2014’s hugely-successful Multiply.

Released in two versions (standard and ‘deluxe’, the latter which features a further four tracks, bringing the total to 16), combined sales and streams are forecast to be high enough to count Divide as potentially one of the biggest selling albums of 2017.

We’ve already been exposed to lead singles Shape Of You and Castle On The Hill, with How Would You Feel following a couple of weeks back; now the rest of the body of work is here for all to discect, enjoy, rave over, sombre over etc etc etc. Essentially, it’s as Ed Sheeran as you’d expect an Ed Sheeran album to be.

Glastonbury 2017: Lorde teases appearance

Lorde has hinted an appearance at 2017’s Glastonbury Festival hot on the heels of the unveiling of Green Light, the first single from her upcoming album Melodrama.

Speaking to Radio 1’s Mistajam, where the song currently sits as the station’s latest ‘Hottest Record’, Lorde spoke of her love of the UK, with expectant visits around the corner. Later in the interview, Mistajam went straight for the kill, questioning “Any plans to maybe come to a certain farm in the UK, to maybe perform at a ‘certain farm’?” to which Lorde coyly replied “Haha, farms are cool… who knows? I do love a farm, that’s all I’m gonna say. Errmm [awkward laugh] err, ermm, I do love a farm…”.

Following a drip-feed of teasers throughout the week, Lorde has finally shared Green Light, her first piece of all-new solo music in over two years.

Lifted as the debut single from her anticipated second studio album, confirmed as Melodrama and set to land later this year, Green Light marks a turning-point for the singer, who broke ground with her moody, albeit adventurous look on life; instead Lode speaks of the track in a more upbeat tone – “it’s very different, and kinda unexpected. it’s complex and funny and sad and joyous and it’ll make you dance. It’s the first chapter of a story i’m gonna tell you, the story of the last 2 wild, fluorescent years of my life. this is where we begin.”

Ed Sheeran will release his third album ÷ (or Divide, whichever way you look at it) tomorrow, with his return to the live stage set to follow soon after. Kicking off a full-scale arena tour next month through into early-May, this year’s plans may seem slightly ‘sombre’ against the backdrop of his three Wembley shows in 2015, however there’s more on the way.  

In the latest issue of Music Week, Ed’s manager Stuart Camp has suggested that this is all just the warm-up for a bigger 2018. 

“In 2018, we just do stadiums” tells Camp, adding “I knew three nights at The O2 would be an underplay and create a bit of fuss, but I didn’t realise quite how much. But to be fair, we wanted to play this year and we can’t do all the stadiums all the time, because they’re weather dependent, so we knew we’d do arenas first. But in summer ‘18 there’s a lot of outdoor shows, a proper stadium tour, even obscure stadiums!”

UPDATE 27th June 2017: Ed has now confirmed the imminent announcement of his UK and Europe stadium tour dates:

Liv Dawson has shared the official video for the Disclosure-produced Searching, appearing almost one month on from the track’s initial unveiling.

“I wrote Searching about an old crush I had and they kept slipping away from me” tells Dawson of the song, adding “I was in the studio with Disclosure and Jimmy Napes working on ideas when the boys came up with the beat, the song came out of that”.

Though Gallant failed to walk away with any gongs at last month’s Grammy Awards, that hasn’t stopped him from pushing forward with the promo on his 16-track debut Ology.

Today, the LA-based crooner has dropped off the visuals for Talking To Myself, the second track from Ology, and one whose video delivers the same levels of hypnotics as we’ve come to expect from his previous discography.

The Internet announce April 2017 London shows

Though The Internet’s Syd and Steve Lacy have been branching out with their own solo efforts lately, the collective refuse to call it a day by announcing a set of shows at London’s Scala next month.

They’ll hit the King’s Cross venue on 10th and 11th April with tickets available now – we’re certain Syd and Steve will use the platform to also showcase their own works too, but the night is purely set aside for The Internet jams at its core.

Lorde releases second cryptic video ahead of new music release

Lorde has released her second mysterious video in a matter of days teasing her anticipated return to the music world.

Posted on her cryptic new website (imwaitingforit.com), the clip ends with the now-familiar airing dates – 3rd March in New Zealand; 2nd March in the US.

Toward the end of last year, the Kiwi singer confirmed to fans that she had completed work on her second studio album, the follow-up to 2013’s Pure Heroine,. This week’s reveal is likely to be the first piece of new music from that project, with album information also expected to follow soon after.

Glastonbury 2017: Solardo self-confirm

House/tech duo Solardo are to return to Glastonbury for 2017 following last year’s sets at The Glade and Shangri-La.

First coming to the forefront back in 2015 with their excellent It’s A New Jam, the two producers have quickly earned their stripes within the bass and underground world, with notable associations from MTA Records all the way to Skream and Riva Starr. Last year’s Glasto saw them play at the Spaceport (Glade) and the LoveBullets stage in the South East Corner, so it’s great to hear they’re heading back once again for 2017 (confirmation which has appeared within the Upcoming Events section on their official Facebook page).
