Dillon Francis morphed across the full electronic sphere as he returned to Coachella in fine form yesterday. With a 45-song, the DJ packed all the punches, including slipping in some pretty decent mashups by the man himself. From the likes of Kanye West and ZHU to Rihanna vs Major Lazer, there never seemed a dull moment, however the best surprise came just over halfway through, when Francis took to the mic, and preceded to tell the crowd “This one goes out to Beyonce seeing as she couldn’t be here”.
Pressing play on Calvin Harris, Migos and Frank Ocean’s Slide, Dillon then delighted fans by overlaying vocals from Beyonce’s Single Ladies, in a short edit that really shouldn’t work, but did… massively.
