Riddim Commission detail debut album ‘Riddim / Bass / Life’

Riddim Commission have finally detailed their long-awaited debut album Riddim / Bass / Life.

Set for release on 19th May, the 12-track project will feature recent singles Cut Some Shapes and Dem Tings Dere alongside new collaborations from the likes of Rye Rye and Doctor. 2015’s Eve-featuring WWYS will also make an appearance.

Riddim Commission have been known to push boundaries within the specialist world over the past few years. With genre-spanning backgrounds, they became one of the first production collectives to fuse house-inspired bass with grime vocals way back during the latter genre’s infancy. Since then, their reworks for the likes of Drake, Rae Sremmurd, Iggy Azalea and Example have won accolades from taste-makers including Annie Mac, DJ Target and Skream.

Mixtape stream: Astro Raw – ‘Rawmix Vol.1’

Following the surprise unveiling of U R My High earlier this week, Lion Babe’s Lucas Goodman, aka Astro Raw, has revealed his Rawmix Vol.1 mixtape in its entirety.

Featuring exclusive mixes, including reworked versions of tracks from the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Busta Rhymes and Alicia Keys, the project concludes with brand new remixes of Lion Babe’s Treat Me Like Fire and Jungle Lady.

After dropping the audio last month, London-based R&B duo S4U have shared the official video for their striking Isle of Dogs.

Already receiving support from tastemakers across the sphere, including the likes of Jamz Supernova, Zane Lowe and Julie Adenuga, Isle of Dogs garners its release courtesy of Lily Allen’s Bank Holiday Records; it’s also been propped as 1Xtra’s Weekend Anthem this week.

Glastonbury 2017: The Glade line-up revealed

Ahead of next month’s festivities, Glastonbury organisers have announced their latest line-up, this time for The Glade area.

Nestled en-route to Arcadia and The Park, and just around the corner from Leftfield, The Glade has always been synonymous with electronica and dance, and this year undoubtedly continues that theme.

Featuring the likes of John Digweed, Gorgon City, Skream, Way Out West and The Orb, among others, The Glade spans five distinct areas, including the electrifying Spaceport, Love Bullets and The Spike. This year’s guestlist will also see Bestival’s Rob Da Bank play his acclaimed Prince tribute set following the recent success of his ‘Purple Rave’ at London’s Clapham Grand.

Ed Sheeran has released his new video for Galway Girl following the recent completion of the European leg of his world tour.

Lifted off his No.1 album Divide, Galway Girl arrives as the third single from the project (in the US Ed is still pushing Castle On The Hill from a promo POV), whilst the visual, shot mostly by Sheeran himself, also features a starring role from Irish actress Saoirse Ronan.
