Bring Me The Horizon will premiere their new single tonight

Bring Me The Horizon have confirmed that new music will arrive this evening (21st August) following weeks of cryptic teasing.

Sharing news on their official Instagram, the Sheffield group stated “It begins” with a pointer toward being tonight’s ‘Hottest Record’ on BBC Radio 1.

Since the reveal, presumed artwork for new material started appearing on Reddit; it’s likely the new single will be titled ‘Mantra’ (or at least the theme for their upcoming sixth studio album).

London’s famed Printworks will host more than 25 mind-blowing events over their autumn/winter season, including performances and appearances from the likes of The Black Madonna, Theo Parrish, Bugzy Malone, Bicep, Nina Kraviz, Chromeo and Deadmau5.

Announced earlier today, Bugzy’s appearance will continue to cement the venue’s support for grime, whilst Norway’s Todd Terje, renowned party starters Chromeo and Mixmag’s DJ of the Year Nina Kraviz will also headline huge nights dedicated to the best of electronic music. SG Lewis, Bicep and Detroit tech pioneer Jeff Mills are also on the line-up.

“Printworks’ Autumn/Winter season is our most eclectic and packed schedule to date” says MD Bradley Thompson – “In many ways is the culmination of everything that has come before. We are restless when it comes to constantly bettering the Printworks experience for everyone, and are absolutely committed to unparalleled line-ups, production and venue creativity.”

New Rihanna x Miguel x The Weeknd track ‘Switching Sides’ rumoured

Here’s a surprise for the books! A new song, which will see The Weeknd collaborate with Rihanna and Miguel is rumoured to be dropping before the month is out.

Tentatively-titled ‘Switching Sides’, some online sleuthing leads to the song being led by The Weeknd, with RiRi and Miguel both as featured artists. A new project from The Weeknd, titled ‘We’re Alone Together’ is also expected to drop later this week too, after being initially teased back in May. The initial rumour of the Rihanna / Miguel collab seemed to come via management account Lightning Muzik, who have previously been reliable with their sources.

Listen: Disclosure share second new song ‘Where Angels Fear To Tread’

Disclosure have shared their second new song in less than 24 hours with ‘Where Angels Fear To Tread’, utilising a clever sample of The Four Freshmen’s 1961 jazz cut, ‘Fools Rush In’.

Premiered on Apple’s Beats 1, the track follows on from yesterday’s ‘Moonlight‘, and whilst not scheduled to appear on their upcoming third studio album, comes ahead of the London-based duo’s onslaught of all-new music, expected to arrive early next year.

“We’ve been completely obsessed with acapella jazz groups lately” said Disclosure – “and wanted to try and incorporate that sound into our music. The Four Freshmen were one of the earliest groups to incorporate advanced jazz harmony into this style and inspired the likes of The Beach Boys. Years later, they are still inspiring us”.

The Eagles’ ‘Greatest Hits’ has surpassed Michael Jackson’s iconic ‘Thriller’ as the Best Selling Album of All Time.

With streaming statistics included in the latest tally, it’s been declared that The Eagles’ compilation, released in 1976, is now five million sales ahead of Jackson’s effort. ‘Thriller’ still retains the title of being the ‘Best Selling Album Of All Time’ globally though, and even in the US, retains the accolade by being a full original piece of music. The Eagles’ ‘Hotel California’ sit behind ‘Thriller’ at No.3.

Following huge anticipation, the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards arrived in style last night, with wins spanning the likes by Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.

Featuring performances from the latter two, the VMAs also saw Jennifer Lopez deliver a career-spanning 10-minute set in celebration of her Michael Jackson Music Vanguard award-win, whilst Cardi B opened up the proceedings with a short skit marking her first return to the stage since the birth of Kulture last month.

Jennifer Lopez delivered a medley of some of her biggest tracks to-date as she hit the stage at the 2018 Music Video Awards last night.

The 10+ minute performance, in celebration of being this year’s recipient of the coveted VMA Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, saw JLo’s enlist surprise appearances from DJ Khaled and Ja Rule. The set’s tracklist spanned the likes of ‘Love Don’t Cost A Thing’, ‘I’m Real’, ‘Get Right’ and ‘Ain’t It Funny’.

Listen to Disclosure’s brand new song ‘Moonlight’

Disclosure have returned with new music, their first piece of new material since their buzztrack ‘Ultimatum‘ earlier in the year.

Titled ‘Moonlight’ the song comes as a stand-alone project and not part of any new album (which the Lawrence brothers have previously announced they’re currently working on). .

“Moonlight was written and arranged at Guy’s house, sampling Swedish acapella group ‘The Real Group’s’ cover of the classic ‘When I Fall In Love’” said the duo, adding “We wanted to bring some Disclosure deep house chords and basslines to the forefront…”

What a hero! Cardi B is already back to making moves just over a month since the birth of Kulture, dropping the brand new video for ‘Ring’.

Lifted off her platinum debut album ‘Invasion of Privacy’, the ‘Ring’ visuals also sees a cameo from Kehlani who assists on the song.

The clip comes ahead of Cardi’s return to the spotlight when she opens this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. Initially rumoured to be a performance in itself, TMZ are reporting that fans shouldn’t expect a full-on show, instead the rapper will perform “either a monologue or partake in some sort of skit instead”.
