Ariana Grande confirms Radio 1 Live Lounge debut

BBC Radio 1 have confirmed Ariana Grande will make her Live Lounge debut next month.

Coming fresh off the back of the huge success of ‘Sweetener’, Ariana will hit the station’s coveted booth on 5th September at the Beeb’s HQ in London. Remarkably, though having appeared on Radio 1 for many interviews throughout the years, Grande has still yet to grace the iconic studios for a Live Lounge – as you could imagine, people are getting pretty excited by this!

Disclosure have now revealed their fourth new song in four days, cementing their return with ‘Funky Sensation’.

Featuring a sample from Gwen McCrae’s 1981 song of the same name, ‘Funky Sensation’ follows in what’s starting to be a long-line of new music from the duo. Since Monday they have shared new songs ‘Moonlight‘ and ‘Where Angels Fear To Tread‘, alongside yesterday’s ‘Love Can Be So Hard’. Who knows what else is around the corner!

The Weeknd announces Memento Mori Episode 2 radio show

The Weeknd has announced the second instalment of his Beats 1 Memento Mori radio show, over two months on from June’s first episode.

A clip accompanying the announcement on his Instagram also seems to tease new music from the singer, backing up rumours of the impending release of his new EP ‘We’re Alone Together’ later in the week.

Yesterday further sources pointed to an all-new collaboration with Miguel and Rihanna landing this week too; titled ‘Switching Sides‘ it’s likely that Abel’s latest radio show could be the first time we hear any speculations put to rest.

Hear Disclosure’s latest new song, ‘Love Can Be So Hard’

As reported earlier today, Disclosure have shared their new song ‘Love Can Be So Hard’, their third piece of new music to land just this week.

Premiered by 1Xtra’s DJ Target (under his latest ‘Targo Embargo moniker) ‘Love Can Be So Hard’ follows in the footsteps of Monday’s ‘Moonlight‘ and ‘Where Angels Fear To Tread‘, the latter released yesterday.

Speculatively, whilst their first press release confirmed that there’s still no news of any kind of album, we reckon there’s something pretty big cooking up here… It’s all quite exciting, isn’t it?

Disclosure have announced their third new song in as many days.

Set to be released tonight (22nd August), ‘Love Can Be So Hard’ will follow in the footsteps of ‘Moonlight‘ and ‘Where Angels Fear To Tread‘, and marks a return to form for the duo as they ready news for their anticipated third studio album.

Listen: Jason Derulo taps up David Guetta, Nicki Minaj and Willy William for ‘Goodbye’

Just over a week on from the release of her new album ‘Queen’, more new Nicki Minaj music has surfaced, this time hearing her reunite with Jason Derulo, David Guetta and Willy William.

Titled ‘Goodbye’, the song is set for release this coming Friday, 24th August, however seemingly the track has now leaked online early (we were dubious of this being the final edit, but according to Shazam, everything does indeed stack up).

It’s yet to be confirmed whether ‘Goodbye’ will be the first track from Derulo’s anticipated new album ‘2Sides’, the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Everything Is 4’ – guess we’ll find out more once the song gets its official release.

Ariana Grande’s ‘Sweetener’ has only been out for less than a week, but that hasn’t stopped remixes starting to appear. One of the most-surprising however comes from Danny L. Harle who has shared his rework on the project’s opener ‘Raindrops’.

Like the original, Danny’s interpretation stays at just 37 seconds, but he adds a gorgeous cinematic undertone to the initial acapella.

Speaking to BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac as the station’s latest Hottest Record, ‘Mantra’ leads the charge for the Sheffield band’s upcoming sixth studio album, with member Ollie Sykes also hinting at a potential surprise set at this weekend’s Reading and Leeds Festival.

The song, which was uploaded to Soundcloud in the early hours, shouldn’t come as a surprise to those who have stayed close to Thug’s news over the past few years. Back in 2016, it was reported that both artists had FaceTimed, culminating with Elton sending the ‘Rocket Man’ instrumental to the rapper.
