British TV personality Lenny Henry has parodied Childish Bambino’s ‘This Is America’ with his own take as part of his upcoming comedy special.
Delivered under his guise of Wildish Bambino, the video, renamed as ‘This is The TV’, delivers a more light-hearted look at how generations are switching off their televisions in favour of apps and their phones.

Having been ensconced in the studio working on his new album, British leftfield electronic artist Attaque (Dominic Gentry) pre-empts it’s release with a brand new track ‘Now I’m Gone’, alongside a stunning deep-tech remix courtesy of Frankfurt deep-house master, Lauer.
Featuring vocals from rising Bristol singer/producer Sola, Dominic details the song – “I first heard Sola when Oscar at Monokrome played me her demos, I really loved the stripped down production and emotive honesty of the lyrics. I love what she has done to Now I’m Gone, it’s added another level to the emotiveness I was trying to encapsulate”, adding “I first came across Lauer while at Lost Village when I shazamed his remix of Misunderstood by Theo Kottis. I’ve been a fan of all of his work since so when it came to getting a remix, for ‘Now I’m Gone’ it had to be him”.

One half of Basement Jaxx Felix Buxton and vocalist Gia have shared their soul-stirring debut, ‘So Hooked On Your Lovin’.
Marked as the first ever release under their new Selace pseudonym, the record comes laden with lingering organ chords and stunningly raw vocals, echoing the stripped back quality of Switch’s ‘I Still Love You’ and with a similar deep-reaching feel to Massive Attack’s ‘Unfinished Sympathy’.

Easily one of the UK’s strongest electronic/bass/underground exports in years, the Croydon lad’s last major foray was 2016’s brilliant ‘Do What You Feel‘, and today he returns, giving fans a glimpse of what he’s been working on with his aptly-titled (and long-awaited) ‘Overdue’ EP.
The project features 7 new tracks, each one individually highlighting the producer’s versatility when it comes to modern-day beat-making (we’d particularly recommend the expansive ‘Music Won’t Love You Back’ btw).

Following her earlier outburst regarding ‘Queen’ losing out to the Billboard No.1 spot to Travis Scott’s ‘Astroworld’, it seems that the week’s not set to get any easier for Nicki Minaj.
Alongside the likes of Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes and Travis Scott himself, Nicki had been scheduled as one of the performers at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. However, a leaked photo of the VMAs seating arrangement shows both Nicki and Travis at arm’s reach from each other (something organisers may now want to rethink).
Bizarrely, it was originally thought that Minaj wouldn’t be attending the ceremony I’m person, having previously teased her performance would be from “a surprise New York location”, away from NYC’s Radio City Music Hall.

Nicki Minaj has lost out to the top spot of the US Billboard charts to Travis Scott, after her new album ‘Queen’ was denied a No.1 placing in favour of Scott’s ‘Astroworld’.
Though matching Travis’ second week placing with 78k pure sales, ‘Queen’ was pipped by Scott’s offering when it came to streaming numbers, with ‘Astroworld’ garnering 205,000 versus Nicki’s 185,000.
As you’d expect, Minaj hasn’t been best-pleased with the news, calling out both Travis and Spotify with the numbers, particularly with the availability of ‘season passes’ for the upcoming ‘Astroworld’ tour.
In a Twitter tirade, Nicki wrote – “Travis sold over 50K of these, with no requirement of redeeming the album! With no dates for a tour, etc. I spoke to him. He knows he doesn’t have the #1 album this week…. I put my blood sweat & tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling ppl to come see her & Stormi. lol. Im actually laughing. #Queen broke the record of being number 1 in 86 countries. Thank Jesus & thank you to my fans.”.
Turning the tables toward Spotify, the performer then said “Spotify put drake’s face on every playlist but told me they’d have to teach me a lesson for playing my music 10 mins early on #QueenRadio. Even tho they’ve been giving away my music for free for years & I am one of the top Spotify artists of all time…. Spotify had to teach me a lesson but rewarded the man who has had an Apple radio show the longest; inadvertently helping the Apple platform the most. Oh I can’t wait for #QueenRadio on Tuesday. They took away my promotion they had promised for the 1st cpl days b/c of this. #Queen”

Teaming up with Thirdstory for new song ‘Too Far Too Fast’, the track comes ahead of their long-awaited upcoming EP ‘For Those Who Know, Pt. II’. Alongside Thirdstory, the new project will also see collaborations with Robert Glasper, S’natra and Xavier Omär.

The appearance of Prince’s back catalogue comes after an agreement struck between the singer’s estate and Sony Music; one year prior to his death, Prince pulled his music from all services aside from TIDAL.
