Damon Albarn is ready to drop yet ANOTHER Gorillaz album

The past 18 months (or so) have been pretty-exciting for Gorillaz fans. No less than sharing their first new record in 7 years with ‘Humanz’ last April, Damon Albarn and co then shared their surprise follow-up ‘The Now Now’ in June of this year.

But that’s not all Albarn has in store for the band either.

In a recent interview with Austria’s Radio FM4, Damon teased further music from his animated band, whilst also confirming an upcoming release for his other now-reunited side-project, The Good, The Bad and The Queen.

When discussing his work with Gorillaz, the Blur-frontman said “I have another [Gorillaz album] as well, but I know I’m not gonna be allowed to even think about recording or putting it out this year. In October, after I play in America, I’ll be starting The Good, The Bad & The Queen again. It’s there. If I get the time, or if anyone wants it, it’s there”

Reading & Leeds celebrate stellar year; announce 2019 ticket details

Reading & Leeds Festival organisers have celebrated another successful year, whilst also announcing details of 2019’s soiree.

Over 200,000 revellers partied across both sites this year, which saw stellar sets from the likes of Kings Of Leon, Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar, Dua Lipa and Panic! At The Disco, among others.

Both festivals were also filled with special moments throughout the weekend including Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda joining SUM 41 on stage for an emotional tribute performance to Chester Bennington (alongside his own sets at both festivals). In Reading, Scott Mills and Chris Stark joined the choir for Deaf Havana’s spectacular set, Brockhampton owned the stage and two festival-goers got engaged during Wolf Alice’s set on the Radio 1 stage. Meanwhile, secret sets from Bring Me The Horizon and Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes also got the crowds buzzing.

Popcaan cancels Notting Hill Carnival headline appearance

Popcaan has cancelled his anticipated appearance on the Red Bull Music Academy stage at this year’s Notting Hill Carnival.

Announcing the news earlier today, the dancehall star blamed “extremely last minute unforeseen circumstances” after notifying fans on his Twitter account.

His appearance was originally revealed on Friday, alongside sharing a new remix of ‘Body So Good‘ with Mr. Eazi. Red Bull organisers have confirmed that Konshens will be replacing Popcaan on-stage.

N*E*R*D got the crowd jumping yesterday as they embarked on the first stop of this weekend’s surprise Reading and Leeds Festival appearance.

Watched by the Brockhampton lads (who were clearly in awe of the group), Pharrell and co used their performance to run through their expansive repertoire, including new songs from their recent album ‘No_One Ever Really Dies’.

Here’s the only guide you need for 2018’s Notting Hill Carnival

Why how 2018 has flown! It’s already been twelve months since we last skanked out in West London, and now after huge anticipation, Notting Hill Carnival has finally returned!

However, whether you’re a newbie or you’ve been an NHC attendee for years, there’s so much going on that you often need to take stock and work out where you want to be – and with over 30 soundsystems this year, we totally empathise with the organisational part of things! From the return of Toddla T’s Steezy Soundsystem (at Powis Square) to Channel One at Leamington Road Villas all the way to Rampage at Colville Terrace….. oh and not to mention Red Bull’s Music Academy, High Grade and the Rinse FM stage, the choice is pretty massive.

Our advice would firmly be to pick one, maybe two soundsystems at most, and perch there for the whole day – getting around otherwise can be a pretty manic affair!

To help you on the arduous task of picking where to be, check out the map of every live stage and soundsystem, below… oh and expect some surprise headliners too (including the already-announced Popcaan who’s returning to the UK for the first time since All Points East).
