Glastonbury 2019 ticket on-sale dates revealed

Glastonbury Festival organisers have confirmed the date that fans anticipate and dread both in equal measure.

Set to return to its Worthy Farm home next June, tickets for 2019’s Glastonbury will go onsale at 9am on 7th October. Though widely expected to be the date for a while now, this is the first time confirmation has come from organisers.

As per previous years, attendees who wish to bundle coach and entry passes will have their opportunity to purchase combined packages three days prior on Thursday 4th October. Likewise, a £50 deposit will be required on the day, with full balance to paid next April. General admission tickets will cost £248 + £5 booking fee per ticket, marking a £10 increase over 2017’s festival.

Over the past 10 days, Glastonbury organisers have been reminding previous ticket-holders to update their photograph alongside their registration details. In an email alert, they have said “Before ticket information for the 2019 Festival is released, we’re asking everyone with a registration photograph over two years old to update their registration photo, as digital photo technology has improved considerably since we first introduced registration for Glastonbury tickets in 2007.” You can update your details here.

Reports: Kylie Minogue confirmed for Glastonbury 2019 legends slot

Following previous rumours via the mainstream press earlier in the summer, Kylie Minogue has reportedly been confirmed to take the helm for the ‘Legends’ slot at 2019’s Glastonbury Festival.

According to sources at The Sun, Minogue’s appearance for the coveted tea-time slot was signed and agreed with organisers at the start of the year. If confirmed, Kylie will make her Pyramid Stage solo debut in the afternoon of Sunday 30th June.

The singer’s appearance will mark only the second Worthy Farm outing for the star, having previously appeared onstage with The Scissor Sisters in 2010. Minogue had previously been scheduled to headline Glastonbury back in 2005 but had to cancel her appearance following her cancer diagnosis.

Often seen as Glasto’s ‘unofficial fourth headliner’, previous Sunday afternoon performers have included the likes of Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Tony Bennett and Dame Shirley Bassey. Bee Gee Barry Gibb was the last artist to play the slot prior to Glastonbury’s hiatus in summer 2018.

Glastonbury 2019 runs from 26-30th June.

Glastonbury 2019 ticket info is being released tomorrow

Hold tight, we now officially have less than 24 hours to wait until ‘that announcement’ for tickets for next year’s Glastonbury Festival.

Confirming to an eager attendee on Twitter moments ago, festival-curator Emily Eavis revealed that “All the information will be with you tomorrow”.

Based on previous years, we can assume a likely date around Sunday 7th October for general release, with coach tickets presumably available three days prior. However we’ll have to wait for the official word from the Eavis family themselves before jumping to conclusions.

Over the past couple of weeks, Glastonbury organisers have been reminding previous ticket-holders to update their photograph alongside their registration details. Eminem has fired back to Machine Gun Kelly, with his new diss-track, ‘KILLSHOT’.

The song, which marks Eminem’s first piece of new music since his surprise record ‘Kamikaze’ last month, comes as a response to MGK’s ‘Rap Devil’, itself a fire back to the Detroit rapper after gunning for him in the project.

In ‘KILLSHOT’, Eminem targets Machine Gun Kelly’s incomparable success – “I’m 45 and I’m still outselling you / By 29 I had three albums that had blew”… he also brings Halsey into the realm too – “You dance around it like a sombrero, we can all see / You’re fuckin’ salty ’cause young Gerald’s balls-deep inside of Halsey””.
