Kanye West and Chance The Rapper announce new album ‘Good Ass Job’
Kanye West made a surprise appearance at Chance The Rapper’s ‘Open Mike’ student evening in Chicago last night (17th September), sharing further glimpses into his life whilst also revealing that himself and Chance were working on a collaborative new album.
Having been hinted for a while after the two were captured in the studio together last month, Yeezy confirmed that the record has now been titled ‘Good Ass Job’ – West fans will of course be acquainted with the name which was originally meant to carry his fourth studio album. That project was retitled ‘808s & Heartbreak’ following the death of his mother in 2007.
Kanye hasn’t been shy of revealing more news this week; Ye has now been revealed as the musical guest for 29th September’s Saturday Night Live, whilst he has also teased another potential album titled ‘YANDHI’, which will supposedly land on the same day.

Following on from her recent ‘Mariners Apartment Complex‘, Lana’s latest track comes from the same studio sessions where she has been working away on her upcoming new album with Jack Antonoff. The project has since been confirmed as titled ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’.

Ahead of next month’s full-length project ‘Wanderer’, Cat Power has shared her heartfelt cover of ‘Rihanna’s 2012 cut, ‘Stay’.
“I love the tradition of covering songs” says Chan Marshall – “I think it’s one of the highest compliments you can pay another artist. It’s one of the great traditions in American music and one of the true pleasures of music history.” The new rendition follows last month’s ‘Woman‘ which saw Marshall team up with Lana Del Rey.

The 1975 to partner with Twickets for upcoming 2019 UK tour
The 1975 have become the latest group to confirm their partnership with online peer-to-peer ticketing site, Twickets.
The platform, launched back in 2011, connects fans to exchange unwanted tickets at ‘face value’ or less, directly in competition with the likes of Viagogo and GetMeIn (both whom have recently been scrutinised over their exessive resale fees).
Responding to a fan on Twitter earlier today, The 1975’s manager Jamie Oborne confirmed that the band “will be working with Twickets as usual”, delivering another dagger into the exhorbetant resale market.

Revealed as Zane Lowe’s latest Beats 1 World Record, Simz shares the bar-heavy new track as a response to the current political climate that’s facing many corners of the globe. “For ‘Offence,’ I just wanted it to feel very unapologetic, very ballsy” she tells Lowe, “…I think times like this especially, the current state the way the world is, it’s not time to be silenced… It’s time to speak up and speak your truth about things you feel.”

Recorded during their surprise set at Camberwell’s Joiners Arms earlier, the visual for ‘South London Forever’ has been described as a “fitting love-letter to those people and places who made you who you are”, particularly poignant with the Joiners Arms appearance being something of a ‘homecoming’ show for Florence Welch and her band.
