Eclectic North London producers Snakehips seem to have struck gold again, with new track ‘On & On’.
Featuring the beautiful sounds of Australian vocalist George Maple, this chilled-out, beat-driven, summery track is one you’ll definitely have on rotation.

With his first solo album, ‘Descender’, due out in a few weeks’ time, Miike Snow-frontman Andrew Wyatt has shared a new track, in the form of the lush ‘Harlem Boyzz’. While the strings and flutes of Prague’s Philharmonic Orchestra soar overhead, Wyatt lends his falsetto vocals to tales of crackheads and McDonalds.
‘Descender’ is a 32 minute meditation into the darker side of Andrew Wyatt not seen on his latest endeavors with Miike Snow. The introspection weaves amazingly intricate soundscapes and is explored with the use of Prague’s 75-piece Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Adam Klemens.
The album also includes cameos from Anthony Rossomando of The Libertines, Brad Truax formerly of Interpol and John Herndon of Tortoise. The marrying of these elements spawned a huddled romanticism which permeates the record’s sweeping string arrangements with Wyatt’s vulnerable and haunting vocals.
The creation of this album was more elaborate than anything Andrew has attempted before marking the first time he wrote, orchestrated and produced an entire album solely on his own.

It’s been almost a month since Naughty Boy collaborated with Sam Smith on the brilliant ‘La La La’, and now finally, the video is here for all!
Both the vocalist (Smith) and producer (Naughty Boy) have got their fingers on the pulse – they’re hot news within the industry and, from a personal point of view, I wish these two massive success that their talents and determination deserve. The song is fantastic; a summery production which absolutely brings the best out of Smith’s sublime vocal ability.

Though it’s only been out for [not even] a month yet, rumours are starting to go wild regarding the follow-up to Justin Timberlake’s platinum-selling LP ‘The 20/20 Experience’. Speaking candidly to US magazine Billboard, Timbaland protégé J-Roc told readers:
“Before we came to the 10 [songs] that he wanted and the two bonus tracks, we had over 30, 40 tracks…. so I think he’s going to go in, and we’re going to take some of the stuff that we’ve already done, and of course create more music at the same time.”
The initial rumour of a follow-up was confirmed by The Roots’ frontman ?uestlove, after he first blew the whistle about the sequel on Twitter, also clearing up just how Timberlake came up with that album name, “20/20 Vol. 2 comes out in Nov. 10 songs now … 10 songs later = 20 vision.”
‘The 20/20 Experience vol 2’ [working title] is currently scheduled for a November 2013 release. In the meantime, listen to the first iteration of the fantastic ‘pt1’ below:
New UK artist BON-BON has announced a free download of her track ‘Lois Lane’ via Facebook in the lead up to her debut EP release in June. feisty, indie-pop with a distinctive and powerful voice.
Looks like Katy B is a fan of BON-BON too, as she’s been tweeting about the track this week!
BON-BON is the guise of singer Sian King, whose two rough demos last year racked up a total of 3,000 plays in just two days after randomly appearing one afternoon on her SoundCloud.
‘Lois Lane’ is BON–BON’s first offering from her forthcoming EP out in June – a feisty, indie-pop driven track that will leave you hooked. Written about a personal and somewhat troubled young love affair, the track is riddled with metaphors based around the ultimate superhero Superman – who is timely set to blast back on to our cinema screens this year in ‘Man of Steel’. Hailing from South London, industry buzz isn’t new to BON-BON. After last year’s attention, she was compared to fellow Brit Bat For Lashes as well as indie songstress Lykke Li to name a few. Not a bad place to start for someone, who to date, almost refused to put her music online. After giving in to demand and finally deciding to embrace a sound she knows best, BON-BON was born and looks set to blow your socks off with her powerful and distinctive voice.

It’s finally here! After what feels like a lifetime of waiting, we have the full version of Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’. In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past month, the track is the lead single off the bands forthcoming funk-fest of an LP ‘Random Access Memories’, and features the sublime vocals of Pharrell Williams, whilst production and bass provided by the legendary Nile Rodgers.

Rap legends De La Soul are back, and with a superb cut to mark their return. New single ‘Get Away’, featuring ‘The Spirit Of The Wu’ catapults the group back into the mainstay with a significant East Coast/West Coast vibe.
Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, De La Soul’s Posdnuos (aka Kelvin Mercer) speaks of the track:
“I stumbled on the original sample while crate digging one day, took it straight to the lab and added drums…. The feel is definitely gritty, hard, and sounds like a Wu record, so out of inspirational respect, we included featuring ‘The Spirit of the Wu’ in the song title.”

Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’ is quickly going down as one of the most eagerly-awaited singles of 2013; whilst we’ve all heard THAT Coachella snippet and also THAT SNL teaser trailer, some music bod has decided to fuse the two and create a 4minute version on Soundcloud.
It’s obviously a mash between the existing snippets, and in no way the final version of the track, but even if it was, it sounds ridiculously exciting.

Interscope Records have released the full preview to the forthcoming soundtrack of ‘The Great Gatsby’.
With both the movie and soundtrack expected to drop in the next few weeks, it’s an exciting time for film and audio buffs. As we said during Monday’s teaser link, whilst we’re predominately a music site, the prospect of a new Superman flick makes us squeal like 10 year old girls at a One Direction concert.
