Justin Timberlake announces ’20/20 Experience’ World Tour

After confirming the September 30th release date for the follow-up to his acclaimed LP The 20/20 Experience, Justin Timberlake has announced he is to embark on a World Tour at the end of the year.

Whilst only initial US/Canada dates have been confirmed, the rest of the tour is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The dates will follow what is expected to be a hectic summer for Timberlake, with his Legends of Summer tour with Jay-Z in July as well as his appearance at this year’s Wireless Festival.

Prior to tonight’s premiere on US TV network Fox, the second trailer for Rihanna’s ‘777 Tour’ documentary has aired.

The documentary special will go behind-the-scenes on her 2012 777 tour (where the artist played 7 concerts at 7 different venues in 7 major cities) and cover everything from the flights (and champagne bottles popping) to addressing various tour rumours (ie snubbing folk in-flight). For fans of Rihanna, this is set to be a big eye-opener to the mammoth 7-day alcohol-fuelled party.

Chris Brown confirms Rihanna split on Australian radio show

Singer Chris Brown took to Australian radio program The Kyle and Jackie O Show in the early hours this morning to spill the beans and confirm that Breezy and on-off girlfriend Rihanna are now officially no longer together.

In the exclusive interview, Brown revealed to presenters Kyle and Jackie O that he will be spending his 24th birthday single. He told the show:

One thing I always want to do is never disrespect anybody or put nobody down. The way I look at it is that I am always gonna love that person, and people have different wants and needs….. At the end of the day [Rihanna’s] a young girl. I can’t really be focused on wife-ing somebody that young, and I’m young too. I just got to step forward and be a man and be the best Chris Brown I can be, instead of worrying about whoever else is going to be in my side pocket.

Rumors of the high-profile couple’s split originally surfaced when Brown was spotted flirting with a woman in an Los Angeles nightclub.

Radio 1 have announced the line-up for their forthcoming ‘Radio 1 Big Weekend in Derry-Londonderry, and it’s looking like a scorcher!

With Bruno Mars confirmed to headline the 3-day extravaganza, Radio 1’s Big Weekend Derry~Londonderry 2013 takes place over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. On Friday 24 May the Main Stage will focus on dance music, with 1Xtra taking over the second stage; while Saturday 25 May and Sunday 26 May will feature a Main Stage and In New Music We Trust Stage. The event is due to take place in the heart of the city at Ebrington Square and the Pavilion.

After releasing his fantastic comeback EP Far From Over earlier this year, British artist Frankmusik has teased his forthcoming acoustic album Between Us by quietly releasing the piano-led version of his single Map on his Soundcloud account.

It’s a beautifully-powerful track and clearly shows the strong maturity that Vince Frank has gone through over the past few years.

Rudimental top the charts with debut album ‘Home’

British four-piece dance act Rudimental have soared to the top of the British music charts with their debut album Home.

The dance group have taken the UK by storm over the past 12 months, combining insane beats with soulful vocals, as well as dabbling their hand in pretty much every dance off-shoot that has existed over the years.

Featuring big-name collaborators including Emeli Sande, Alex Clare and Ella Eyre (who recently worked with the production kings on their number one track Waiting All Night), Home, according to NME, contains “more bangers than a barbecue at a firework factory”.
