UK artists Dizzee Rascal and Robbie Williams have premiered the visual for their forthcoming collaboration Going Crazy, taken from the UK rapper’s upcoming album The Fifth.
The video portrays the two stars as leaders of gangs of OAP riders on pimped-up mobility scooters.

Lana Del Ray has premiered the visual for new single Young And Beautiful, taken from the soundtrack to The Great Gatsby movie.
The video follows suit of the movie’s early 1900’s style and features full orchestra in the show.

Chris Smith, the other half of US rap group Kris Kross, has spoken at friend Chris Kelly’s funeral about the times they spent together. In an emotional tribute, Smith, aka ‘Daddy Mac’ (to Kelly’s ‘Mac Daddy’) outpoured to the congregation and vowed that their friendship will never be forgotten:
My life… ain’t never gonna be the same, but I just hope our legacy for hip-hop is never forgotten. I’m gonna do my part to make sure Chris’ legacy will live on.

Following on from the title track release of previous single IV Play, US artist The Dream has unveiled a new track High Art, which features hip-hop royalty Jay-Z.
Easily the most eagerly-awaited track of the R&B artist’s forthcoming IV Play album, High Art is simply a beautiful R&B track with some sublime rapping from Mr Carter himself.

Dutch street-soul producer The Child of Lov has unveiled two of the singles from his latest self-titled debut album, featuring DOOM and Blur-frontman Damon Albarn.
The album, the follow up to the artist’s Crying Thunder mixtape (which, incidentally was only released last week), pays homage to the producer’s gothically experimental take on modern-day soul and hip hop.
Check out the two tracks below; they’re eerie but certainly show how far boundaries can be pushed in a fairly stagnant urban-world.
For those lucky ticket holders, The Child of Lov will be playing at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

In an exclusive interview with Billboard, UK breakthrough singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has teased more about the follow-up to his hugely successful debut album +.
Detailing a slight change in direct for his sophomore effort, the singer alludes that he’s looking to try to
“write different songs…that are kind of out of my comfort zone and challenge myself a little bit….. It’s definitely leaning towards more of a beat-heavy thing, definitely more hip-hop-like…. I think I’ve evolved a bit more since I made the first record, which I think is a healthy thing”.
With Sheeran currently on tour with Taylor Swift, he is pretty much out of action until mid-September, proposing that it’ll be around that time when he’ll be entering the studio to record the follow-up. Knowing Sheeran however, it’ll hardly be surprising if he still takes to social media in the meantime to keep fans’ appetites whet.
Following in the footsteps of Nile Rodgers, Todd Edwards and Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk have revealed the next feature in their Collaborators series, featuring French producer DJ Falcon.
The series has been a staple in driving mass awareness for the French duo’s forthcoming highly-anticipated album Random Access Memories, and in this episode, DJ Falcon reveals more about his long-term friendship with the ‘robots’ as well as setting the scene for his feature on the album’s closing track Contact.
With less than two weeks until the global release of Random Access Memories, excitement has reached fever pitch, no less than the rumour of Contact being expected to sample the chords of Australian band The Sherbs’ We Ride Tonight

The documentary special goes behind-the-scenes on her 2012 777 tour (where the artist played 7 concerts at 7 different venues in 7 major cities) and covers everything from the flights (and champagne bottles popping) to addressing various tour rumours (ie snubbing folk in-flight). For fans of Rihanna, this is one not-to-miss!
As you may (or may not) be aware, Stagedoor FM regularly attends Sessions58; a night that fuses open-mic talent with the industry’s finest. Whilst we leave impressed on a weekly basis, last night’s ‘show’ probably was the finest example of the incredible talents that we have in UK.
Hosted by Ilana Lorraine and Nate James, the night brought talent from unsigned regulars, including Nicolas Howe and Gareth Esson to those with label backing. Oh, and we mustn’t forget vocalists on BBC’s The Voice (Nate James, Liam Tamne, Adam Barron and Jamie Bruce) adding to the buzz of the evening. The audience were truly encapsulated the whole night.
We really are massive advocates of Sessions58 here at Stagedoor, and properly take our hats off to Ilana and Nate for consistently putting on a great night, for free, off the back of just the love of real music.
