Sugababe member Amelle Berrabah has unveiled her A64 acoustic session of track Love Is All We Need for online channel SBTV.

The singer, who is currently focusing on her solo career whilst the Sugababes take a ‘break’ (whether that’s a permanent or temporary thing is TBC), has received positive feedback from fans on the new track. Regarding a reformation with her two Suga cohorts, Berrabah recently told Digital Spy “We’re thinking of getting back together at the end of next year. I’m currently promoting this single now, then my own album. Hopefully after that we can rebuild and see what we’re going to do.”

British indie band The 1975 took to Radio 1’s Live Lounge today, with their chosen Live Lounge Cover being One Direction’s debut What Makes You Beautiful.

Removing all pop elements from the track, the group performed a totally stripped-down, touching, melodic version.

Eavis confirms 2014 Glastonbury headliners booked

Michael Eavis, founder of the legendary Glastonbury Festival, has confirmed that the headline acts for next year’s event have already been booked.

Speaking to NME at last night’s AIM Awards, Eavis said “Next year’s headliners are more or less in place. They’re three bands who haven’t played Glastonbury, and that’s important.”

The godfather of the festival continued “There aren’t many bands left who haven’t played the festival, and before we run out I’d like to persuade the ones on my wish list to come down. I think I’ve managed that with these three.”

Spotify sued by Ministry of Sound over copyright infringement

Music application Spotify have confirmed that they have received law orders from dance label Ministry of Sound regarding suspected copyright infringement.

According to The Guardian Ministry of Sound are seeking an injunction to remove users’ playlists whereby they have seemingly created mirrored replicas of MoS compilations.

The ability to create, amend and share playlists is arguably one of the strongest draws to Spotify’s service, with over 1bn playlists having been created since the brand’s launch in mid-2008. Whilst Spotify have the rights to add the various tracks to their platform, MoS are suing based on the order that users place these tracks, whilst pushing for Spotify to automatically remove these playlists that replicate the MoS retail opportunity.

Gabrielle confirms return to music with new album ‘Now and Always’

Gabrielle Now and Always

Earlier this year, many pop musos heralded 2013 as the ‘Year of The Comeback’, and this one is probably the greatest of them all. UK soul queen Gabrielle, who hit the top spot over 20 years ago with debut track Dreams, has confirmed she is back in the studio, with new album Now And Always on the horizon.

Currently featuring on Naughty Boy’s new album Hotel Cabana, we can’t wait to hear what else is going to crop up from Camp Gabrielle.

Atlantic artist Birdy, who, at the tender age of just 17, has already secured critical acclaim with her 2011 self-titled debut album, is back, with new track Light Me Up.

A live version of the track recorded at the infamous Abbey Road Studios and taken from the artist’s forthcoming second album Fire Within, was shared online mere moments ago, along with a live performance of Wings.

Apple iPhone event confirmed for 10th September

Apple Sept 2013 invite

Earlier today, Apple sent out invites to their forthcoming event, one week prior to the expected 10th September announcements of the tech company’s array of new products.

Upon the heavily rumoured are the launches of two new iPhones – the iPhone 5C, a low-cost budget alternative (focusing more on emerging markets), as well as the iPhone 5S, the next evolution in the iPhone product’s cycle.

Rumours so far point to the 5S containing fingerprint scanning as well as improved camera quality, amongst others.

The event should also see the final Gold Master of the latest iOS7 software being confirmed, with imminent availability to iOS owners.
