Kendal Calling reschedules to 2021; announces new dates

This summer’s Kendal Calling has been cancelled due to concerns surrounding the global Covid-19 pandemic.

In what would have been the Cumbria festival’s fifteenth anniversary, organisers have taken the tough decision to postpone celebrations into 2021, which will now run across the 29th July – 1st August weekend.

In a statement, organisers said:

“This would have been our fifteenth year partying in the Lake District. Our fifteenth anniversary shared with you all, old friends and new in the most beautiful of surroundings. But instead, heartbreakingly, it won’t. It was not an easy decision but it is the right decision. Your health and the health of those who work behind the scenes and on the stages is and will always be paramount.”

The continue to state that “ticket buyers will receive further details via email imminently from their place of purchase regarding the refund options. There will also be the choice to consider keeping your ticket for next year, if you are able and willing. By holding onto your ticket you will be supporting Kendal Calling at this difficult time.”

It is unclear at this stage if any of the artists scheduled for 2020, including headliners Supergrass, Foals and Stereophonics, will return next year.

Alongside the written statement, Kendal Calling organisers also shared a video update too, which you can watch below:
