It’s bene three years since Lapsley last shared new music, by way of her gorgeous debut album ‘Long Way Home’. Sure, we’ve had DJ Koze’s excellent rework of ‘Operator’ to keep us company on the dancefloors since, but it’s safe to say that the young singer/songwriter/producer’s lack of presence on the scene has had us pining for more for a long while.
Never fear though, the first taste of Lapsley’s next chapter is now incoming.
Sharing a preview of her new song ‘My Love Was Like The Rain’ on Twitter earlier today, the singer also teased an imminent release of 22nd October for the first cut of what’s expected to be album number two.
Catch the teaser below; ‘My Love Was Like The Rain’ will be premiered on BBC Radio 1 at 7.30pm GMT, 22nd October.
