Pink followed in the footsteps of the Foo Fighters, Chris Martin, The Script, The xx and Thirty Seconds to Mars to become the latest entrant into Radio 1’s Live Lounge earlier today, performing a special showcase as part of the station’s Live Lounge Month.
Opening on her latest single What About Us, Pink then followed onto 2006’s Who Knew before concluding her set with a stunning rendition of Sam Smith’s Stay With Me.
Of the track (and Sam himself), the US star said “I love [Sam’s] voice so much. I love his songs. I actually was having a little Twitter conversation with him the other day which was very timely. I wanted to tell him but I didn’t. There are songs that come out once in a while that you wish you wrote, and that was one of them.”
