Tough Love’s Get Twisted imprint has been delivering shedloads of delicious bangers of late, and today they up the ante by dropping Messin’, a smooth treat courtesy of Tokyo Beach and Maxine Hardcastle.
Swept across a funky groove akin to early MAW beats (and as sun-drenched as the Tokyo Beach name would have you believe), it’s Hardcastle’s sultry vocals that get the gold star here, with a winning formula that harks back to some early Hed Kandi Beach House jams (think along the lines of Miguel Migs’ So Far to get the direct gist).
This one’s more than gorgeous, and gives you a solid reminder that even though it’s starting to get darker earlier, summer is still firmly here.
We’re hyped to premiere this one, so grab Messin’ in full below; Get Twisted really aren’t fucking about, are they?
