’16 for 2016: Ones To Watch’ – Izzy Bizu

We’ve been repping Izzy Bizu for a fair while now, so it makes absolute sense she joins a wealth of talent in our ’16 for 2016′ longlist.

Initially brought to our attention with a support slot for Sam Smith back in 2013, Izzy has come on leaps and bounds since then, most-notably as one of the two runner ups in last year’s Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition. The accolades haven’t stopped there either, with the youngster appearing on other highly-accoladed lists (including BBC’s Sound of 2016 poll and as a runner-up of the BRITs Critic’s Choice Award).

Let’s also not forget the reasons why – Izzy’s already dropped some absolute bangers along her impressive journey as she makes way for her debut long-player A Moment of Madness. Her latest single White Tiger received a striking once-over from The Heavytrackerz (plus a guest verse from Kano), however heads turned even further with the track’s predecessor Give Me Love, of which Bizu captivated audiences following a stint on Jools Holland.

A Moment of Madness is readying for release next summer (we’ve already heard the album sampler, and it’s exceptionally special); catch Izzy’s Give Me Love Jools performance, below – meanwhile you can catch her on tour in January across the UK too. Tour dates also below (tickets onsale now via Ticketmaster, here).

Izzy Bizu 2016 January Tour Dates

27th January – Scala (London)
28th January – Night and Day (Manchester)
29th January – King Tuts Wah Wah Hut (Glasgow)
