Following last month’s announcement of her 2016 ANTi World Tour, it seems Rihanna is dropping a surprise release of her eighth studio album as an early Christmas present for fans.
According to The Today Show, the anticipated project (formerly known as R8), will land tomorrow, Christmas Eve, and follows Rihanna’s various teasers as part of her ‘ANTi Diary’ partnership with Samsung. The Today Show’s tweet has since been deleted.
Whilst there’s still no word from Rihanna (or her label) regarding the truth of the matter, it’s likely that TIDAL will play some kind of part in the release. Whether it comes as an exclusive to the platform remains to be seen (however we’d be surprised if the likes of Spotify and/or Apple Music/iTunes are ignored due to their mass hold on the market).
