Following the earlier announcement of Adele’s return to the stage, BRIT Awards organisers have now confirmed the latest in the lineup, with both Justin Bieber and Coldplay set to perform at next year’s ceremony.
Set to grace London’s O2 Arena on 24th February, the appointment of both Bieber and Coldplay marks an incredible few months for both acts. The latter are currently riding high with their latest record A Head Full of Dreams, whilst the former has seen a swathe of new Beliebers join the camp after the phenomenal success of his recent Purpose LP. It’s also likely that Justin will fend off X Factor-winner Louisa Johnson to nip his first ever UK Christmas No.1 single.
Of the announcement, BRITs Chairman Max Lousada said: “The BRITs are excited to welcome two of the biggest acts in the world right now to next year’s awards – Coldplay, who are undoubtedly one of our greatest music success stories, and pop sensation Justin Bieber, who will be coming to London for his first ever BRITs performance. Next year’s awards is shaping up to be a fantastic night of British and international music.”
