As she prepares to drop her anticipated eighth studio record, Missy Elliott has found time to further her collaborative efforts, jumping onboard Monica’s new single Code Red.
Unveiled earlier today, Code Red, the title-track from Monica’s forthcoming album (out next month), hears the singer attack the music industry due to its apparent lack of artistry over the years – “I swear the game might be over, somebody give them some quotas, you can’t be sleeping on Mono. You can’t see me with no photo, I’m trying to change up the world, I’m focused on my baby girl, And even though she only 1, She’s knows you ain’t talkin’ ’bout nothing.”
Cop a listen below; as R&B tracks go, Code Red is pretty on-point. The release also comes just over a week since Missy dropped her own return track, WTF (Where They From).
