Coming soon to Black Butter Records comes by way of US-based producer Justin Jay, by way of Karma.
Featuring vocals from Josh Taylor (and instrumental assistance by Benny Bridges, Karma, Jay’s first release on the much-lauded UK label, marks a turn of focus for the DJ, as he sidelines his deep-bass-heavy roots (see his Chris Lorenzo-collab Storm) for something much lighter and funkier.
Lifted as the first single from his forthcoming collaborative project Justin Jay & Friends, the album will see Justin unite his varied influences, from house to soul, funk and jazz, to something more live-focused than a ‘play on your iPhone’ collection. With the groovy Karma as the project’s first stab, we genuinely can’t wait for more.
