Video: 1Xtra present ‘Next Generation Live’

As a nod to those who are set to take to the UK’s helm over the next few years, 1Xtra recently invited down a wealth of new talent to their Maida Vale studios to give them the opportunity to showcase their talents.

Hosted by tastemaker Sian Anderson, 1Xtra’s ‘Next Generation Live’ saw some of the hottest upcoming Grime MCs hook up with London’s Hip Hop Orchestra to go, well, pretty crazy really.

As long-time Kano fans, we were apprehensive when we were told of a live orchestral version of Ps & Qs, however newcomers Jevon and Janset did an absolutely sterling job! Check out that rendition at the top of this post; meanwhile the rest of the Next Generation Live performances can be seen in the below playlist:
