Glastonbury 2015: Here’s how we’re supporting Kanye West’s headline slot

So, we’re kinda pissed-off with this whole “Cancel Kanye West’s headline slot” bollocks if truth be told…. To date (6th April), ‘THAT‘ petition to remove Kanye’s appearance at June’s Glastonbury Festival, has so-far garnered over 130k signatures.

Now, that’s fair enough… however, we’ve asked around – we’ve asked friends, colleagues, friends of colleagues, and more, all of whom we know are gracing Worthy Farm this summer, and none… NONE, have given two shits about the petition, and therefore haven’t even considered signing. (To note, we’ve probably only asked around 80 people, however out of these, a vast majority have said they wouldn’t be bothering to see Kanye, instead happily opt for a different stage).

So that whole thing made us think… granted we’ve hardly asked a huge pool of attendees, but just how many of those actually going to Glastonbury 2015 have ‘signed’ that petition? There’s a lot of shit being thrown online about how a hip-hop act shouldn’t headline a ‘rock’ festival (to those haters, Glastonbury is actually a ‘Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts’); there’s even that RIDICULOUS video by a couple of chaps slating Glastonbury’s decision to showcase the rapper (you can watch that here if you like; we wouldn’t bother though – anyone who calls it GlastonBERRY shouldn’t even be allowed to cast judgement).

In contrast, we’re pretty chuffed that he’s appearing. Yes Kanye’s got an ego the size of a small country, but placing that to one side for a sec, he’s also one of the biggest artists at the moment, thus he has every right to be there.

So, we’re showing solidarity to Kanye West, and as such, have quickly designed a set of ‘I Support Yeezus’ stickers to hold in your lanyard come June 24th. (FYI, we’re know they’re shit to look at, but, well, fuck it).

We’re certain there’s a whole bunch of people that can’t wait to see West hit the Pyramid; and for those who aren’t too fussed, we all know there’s likely to be a wealth of acts on the rest of the stages.

So, here they are in all their glory… again, clarifying that they look pretty shit, but hopefully it’ll be a way of shutting up the naysayers…somehow.

Just hit the link below to download a printable PDF… print them on stickers, or even just plain paper, and show your allegiance!
