Black Girls Rock: Kathy Sledge, Cheryl Lynn and Alicia Myers perform throwback medley

At last night’s BET Black Girls Rock awards ceremony, Kathy Sledge, Cheryl Lynn and Alicia Myers gave one heck of a throwback to their standout hits, performing a medley of some of their most-iconic tracks.

Cheryl Lynn kicked off the proceedings, taking her 1978 hit Got To Be Real to the stage; Alicia Myers then drove the crowd into a spin with 1981’s I Want To Thank You, with Sister Sledge’s Kathy Sledge then finalising the trio, with a rousing performance of We Are The Family, accompanied by the aforementioned.

With attendees including First Lady Michelle Obama, the medley is likely to get you dancing away on this glorious Bank Holiday.
