Organisers of one of the festival calendar’s hottest events have confirmed FKA Twigs as the latest act to appear at this summer’s Bestival.
Set to join the already-bulging line-up on the weekend of 10th September, Bestival curator Rob Da Bank said of the 2 Weeks artist “I picked up a white label record by an artist called Twigs in 2012 and started playing it on my Radio 1 show, with no idea who or what was creating this fantastic sound… Three years on and it’s exciting to see FKA Twigs breaking through, still forging such a leftfield sound and winning! We can’t wait to welcome her to Bestival’s Summer of Love 2015… and I’ve still got that white label!”
FKA Twigs will join existing Bestival acts The Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Duran Duran, Tame Impala, The Jacksons, Annie Mac, Jungle, Jurassic 5 and more, in what’s set to be one of the first of many festival appearances this summer for the Mercury Music Prize-nominated artist.
Tickets for Bestival 2015 are on-sale now direct from Ticketmaster (here); check the full line-up below and expect more acts to be announced in the coming months:
