Back at the start of the year (on New Year’s Day, in fact), Chip marked his return to the scene by uniting with D Double E & Jammer on the intense School Of Grime.
Today, the young MC proves why he’s shaping up to be such a fine UK export, by revisiting the track across The Streets’ iconic Has It Come To This instrumental. As probably one of the most genre-defining tracks from the garage era (alongside a track that seems to ‘never get boring’, Chip’s overlay of his, D Double and Jammer’s bars, seem absolutely ripe for the re-emergence of UKG we currently seem to be enjoying, plus adding further fuel at the quality of grime that’s been coming from the scene over the past couple of years.
A brilliant, if not surprising addition to Chip’s repertoire, this is something you definitely need to hear. Stream below in full; it’s a free download too.
