Last year’s surprise addition to the rap scene, Raury, has unveiled Fly, the youngster’s first piece of all-new music since his striking Indigo Child debut.
Taking a political approach to his flows, Fly hears Raury touching on the somewhat tender subject of the killing of black Ferguson teen Michael Brown toward the end of summer 2014; Raury apparently penned the track following police officer Darren Wilson walking away uncharged for Brown’s death.
With so much unrest following the Wilson trial, Fly sees a gentler approach to the subject, and as such, Raury should absolutely be rewarded for his thought-provoking attitudes. With 2014 being the year the youngster carved his cape, 2015 should be the time he himself will fly.
