Last month, NY duo dropped Jump Hi, their instantly-infectious collaboration with Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino).
Today, the twosome (or trio, if you include Glover), share the track’s official video, and raise the game once again. The Nina Simone sample that runs through showcases Lucas Goodman’s production strengths, whilst Jillian Hervey’s vocals encapsulate us in a way only the likes of Erykah Badu can (and we’re sure that’s not the first time the similarities have been pointed out).
Whilst they’ve been bubbling away for a while now, one can only hope that Jump Hi gives them the springboard (geddit?) for Lion Babe need to push their unique styles of future-soul to the masses.
