Following last week’s win of Red Bull’s ‘Culture Clash’, Rebel Sound, the collaborative effort between Shy FX, MC Rage, Chase and Status and David Rodigan, have confirmed their intention to bring their show on a tour, alongside the creation of all-new material.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on his Radio 1 show earlier this evening (3rd November), the Rebel Sound crew spoke openly regarding the build-up of their Culture Clash show, from bringing Sir Trevor McDonald back from retirement to open the first round of the clash, to customising a special dubplate of Emeli Sande’s Heaven with the Scottish megastar.
In a surprising (and exciting) move, Rebel Sound also announced plans to release all-new new material, and have even spoken to grime outfit BBK regarding potential features. Chase and Status’ Saul Milton admitted they were currently unsure as to the direction of the music, however the fact that the idea has been confirmed should be enough news to get the British music industry in a spin. Additionally, whilst no venues (or number of dates, for that matter) have bene confirmed, a Rebel Sound tour is definitely on the cards too.
This is crazy stuff!
