Young emerging grime/hip-hop duo Krept and Konan are the first act to be announced to perform at next month’s MOBO Awards.
Already up for four nominations (Best Song – Don’t Waste My Time, Best Album – Young Kingz, Best Male and Best Hip Hop), the confirmation of Krept & Konan’s appearance further ignites the MOBO Awards’ commitment to British urban music.
More performances are expected to be announced over the coming weeks in the lead-up to the 2014 ceremony, which sees the MOBO Awards return to London after a five-year absence, whilst following an announcement earlier in the summer, the MOBO Awards will be live-streamed on ITV2 on 22nd October as part of a three-year partnership with the broadcaster. 1Xtra’s Sarah-Jane Crawford will also lead hosting duties of the night, set to take place at the SSE Arena in Wembley.
Voting for all categories is also open to the public, so head over to the official MOBO Awards website (here) to cast your decision on who will take home one of the coveted awards in the British music calendar, and click here to check out all the nominees in full.
