Fresh from his debut single Down On My Luck making massive dents on the global charts, young US rapper Vic Mensa has taken to 1Xtra’s Fire In The Booth slot for an appearance that makes the current UK heatwave seem tepid by comparison!
Appearing on the station’s show earlier today (19th July), Mensa laid down some of the stringers bars we’ve heard from the rap game in quite a while; impressively paying homage to Jay Z, alongside various British references too.
It’s a lot to take in – 10 minutes of just some straight-beat bars; we’re off for a lie down – this is a BIG FITB!
