Following Epic’s announcement of second posthumous Michael Jackson album XSCAPE, further information is starting to unravel regarding the collaborations included in the eight-track project.
The album, set to land next month, has already been confirmed to feature production credits from the likes of Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins and Stargate, however now, acclaimed guitarist Jesse Johnson (The Time / The Original even) has teased that one of the included tracks features vocals from none-other than soul queen Mary J Blige and neo-soul king D’Angelo.
Confirming the inclusion earlier today via his Facebook page (below), Johnson also claimed that the song [which features the aforementioned] also includes drumming credits by The Roots’ Questlove.
XSCAPE has already been somewhat applauded by critics who have been lucky enough to hear the album in its entirety, with many saying it completely brandishes the luke-warm receipt of Michael Jackson’s first posthumous release, the aptly-titled Michael.
