Following this morning’s Blondie announcement, Glastonbury Festival organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed Dolly Parton will appear at this summer’s iconic event.
“It’s something we’ve been wanting to happen for a long time, and she finally said yes!” Eavis told BBC 6 Music earlier this morning. Meanwhile Parton herself has tweeted confirmation, saying “I’m incredibly excited to FINALLY announce that the #BlueSmokeWorldTour is coming to @GlastoFest on June 29th! 😉 Stay tuned for more info…”
Parton’s inclusion into the line-up means she will join Arcade Fire and Blondie on the main stage, whilst other confirmed acts include Gorgon City, Lily Allen and Stanton Warriors.
